Ich habe seit ein paar Wochen die Version 1.5.0 oben und hat bisher alles funktioniert.
Aber bei einem Tauchgang stimmt das Profil im Logbuch nicht mit der Realität zusammen.
Während des TGs wurde die Tiefe richtig angezeigt.
Im Anhang ein Bild von den zwei Computern, der linke zeigt es richtig an.

Seit diesem Tauchgang kann ich auch keine Tauchgänge mehr auslesen.

I tried to download the last dive. But this failed.

I use subsurface (4.9.1. on a Mac) to download the dives. I do not think that the download tool is the issue here...

I seem to have the same download problem with firware 1.4.8.
I am trying to download to MadDive. Downloads to Notebook OS and downloads to iOS both do not work.

I tried to download the dive with OSTCTools. It creates the download folder (0082) but does not download anything. My OSTC jumps back to the mainscreen.


Issue 1: last dive in the OSTC4 log ends at -15 meter after 52 minutes
Issue 2: I cannot download this dive (or any other dive) with Subsurface or OSTCProfile

I tried to download the dives with SubSurface on Win7, SubSurface for Android and DiveMate for Android.

It starts to download some dives, but once it comes to the "strange" dive, the download freeze.

I had to delete the logfile on the OSTC to make it work again.
Unfortunately I lost 5 diveprofiles this way.

I did the same as Marcus... deleted the log (all dives) ... now it works again. Looks like a bug (3 cases now) in 1.5.

Thank you. I am aware of that, just thought maybe there would be a way around it.

Anyway, it would be nice if we could have a feature (on the unit or through an app) that could edit the logbook. Meaning, being able to delete selected dives, rather than having only the option of wiping out all entries.

If it's a bug I was not yet able to reproduce this here but as soon as we understood the issue it will be fixed of course.

Deleting single dives is currently not possible and is actually quite difficult (and prone to other errors) to implement with the current memory layout. The memory is used in a ring arrangement. Maybe the issue happened with much older firmwares and does show up now with the 1.5.0

This seems to be an intermittend issue in the logbook writing routine that probably is in the code for a long time already. But we're looking into this already. Thanks for the reports.

I encountered a similar (or the same) issue that a dive shows in the logbook fine but does not download. All subsequent dives down load fine. Using subsurface and force download loads all dives prior to this problematic log entry and then hangs, see [groups.google.com] for more details.

OSTC4 mit aktueller Software 1.5.1

Beim Tauchen alles in Ordnung, aber was da im Log ist, ist leider ein schlechter Scherz! Der Tauchgang endet auf 32m (das war jedoch die max. Tauchtiefe. Was noch auffällt ist, dass das Profil im Gegensatz zu sonst treppenförmig verläuft (15 Stufen pro 10 Min). Auch die Temperaturkurve stimmt überhaupt nicht.
Der Download funktioniert ebenfalls nicht (Diving Log & Subsurface).

Matthias, von den letzten 12 Tauchgängen konnte ich insgesamt 4 nicht auslesen!!!
Was schafft Abhilfe? In fünf Tagen gehe ich auf Tauchsafari und möchte dass mein OSTC funktioniert. Danke für deinen umgehenden Rat.

Habe heute noch ein Tauchgang gemacht und während dem tauchen nichts abnormales festgestellt. Das Log auf dem OSTC zeigt heute jedoch alles korrekt an.
Ein Download ist nicht mehr möglich!

Habe heute noch das Auslesen mit dem OSTC Profile reader unter win10 ausprobiert.

Der OSTC4 geht nach einer Weile zurück auf den Homebildschirm und schaltet sich später ab. Der Reader hängt heute noch -> Retrieve data from OSTC (Keine Rückmeldung) und wenn ich das Fenster schliessen möchte sagt mir Windows: OSTC Tools reagiert nicht mehr.

Hallo,

bei mir werden mehrere TG nicht im Log angezeigt. Das bezieht sich hier auf ca. 25 TG vom 25.10. bis 05.11. Das hängt irgendwie mit der Datumformatierung in den Settings zusammen.

Auch kann ich momentan lediglich die letzten 13 TG auslesen (Subsurface/Win) (MacDive/IOS).

Der TG14 ist im Log auf 24,4m aprupt zuende bei einer Gesamttauchzeit von 93 Minuten. Selbstverständlich ist hier nicht die Batterie ausgegangen.

Ist eigentlich die Anzahl der geloggten TG irgendwie begrenzt auf 245? Bei mir sind auch die TG vor Nr. 245 verschwunden.

Eigentlich sollten solche Dinge bei einem Tauchkomputer für 1.000 Euro und einer Entwicklungszeit der FW von über 3 Jahren eigentlich nicht passieren.

Das scheint Ihr aber wirklich nicht im Griff zu haben!

Du hast es auch per Mail geschrieben, ich antworte mal hier mit es alle lesen können. Aufgrund der Speicherweise ist ein Löschen einzelner TG nicht möglich und war nie vorgesehen. Daher ist bei solchen Fehlern (Fehlerhaft abgespeicherte TG) die einzige zuverlässige Lösung das Logbuch zu löschen. Dabei wird der Logbuch-Bereich im OSTC 4 mit 0xFF vollgeschrieben und kann entsprechend seiner Funktion (Flash-Speicher) wieder so benutzt werden wie vorgesehen. Das download-logfile von Subsurface oder Divinglog (Beide benutzen "libdivecomputer" ) gibt evtl. noch wichtige Hinweise auf den Fehler. Direkt konnte ich das hier noch nicht reproduzieren, als OC Taucher ist es aber evtl. ein Bug beim abspeichern der CC TG irgendwo und daher bei mir noch nicht aufgetreten. Keine Sorge, wir sind da schon dran. Das Logbuch ist zur Zeit auf ca. 1000h und 255TG begrenzt. Dann werden alte TG überschrieben.

I can certainly have a look a the download code. But for that, I need the libdivecomputer log file from a download with an OSTC4 computer that shows the problem. Both Diving Log and Subsurface have an option to create such a log file.

Gibt es hier eigentlich schon was Neues? Bei meinem OSTC sieht es aktuell so aus, dass immer der fünfte TG im Logbuch Probleme macht. Die ersten vier kann ich ohne Probleme auslesen und beim fünften geht nichts mehr. (Subsurface Mobil/Desktop, Divemate) Das einzige das hilft, ist das Logbuch komplett zu löschen.


Edit:

Diesmal ist es der sechste TG, bei dem mitten in der Aufzeichnung gestoppt wurde. Die gesamt Tauchzeit und max. Tiefe stimmen allerdings. Auch während dem TG keine Auffälligkeiten. Eigentlich genau das verhalten, das Marcus_H im ersten Post geschildert hat.
