I reproduced this dive in Subsurface diveplanner (looks like you used the same programm for your uploaded image) and with your settings it is about correct that NDL was about 4 minutes at the time you arrived at 33 meters (when diving on normal Air). If you still have 15 more minutes left you get the following profile. profile and that means deco with first stop at 12 meters. So every c

Wow, I think I need to read all this again a few times, but my first reaction would be: It looks like now I need to bring a manual before every dive until I get the hang of when and how to use first gas, work gas and deco gas. Also it looks like the pre-dive checklist needs to be extended with setting up change depths. While reading this it looks like using the HWOS Tech software became mo

Works for OSTC plus using BLE (just downloaded one dive succesfully)

Tried it too after a dive yesterday evening and not working for OSTC4. I did send you the dump file already together with a screenshot I saw on my phone. Later tried to import on the same phone from OSTC plus and that did work. On both computers I choose for BLE method.

Why not just enter 1? IMHO 1 is more clear than .. and usually that's a stop that will be eliminated during ascent anyhow. Also showing 1 is showing a stop "on the safe side". We are always tought to round up so why not do it here...

Leave it as it is, the added benefit of a slow ascent during the last 3 meters outweighs the fact that a faster ascent is possible. If need be than add a setting so those who are really annoyed by it can turn it off, but then again those people count with maybe 10m/minute and they can do the math themselves if they are on 20 meters with no deco obligation. And with deco obligation it's ev

As I recall correctly the OSTC now indeed uses a 1m / minute ascent rate from (I believe 6m) to the surface. Hence the longer time. Personally I think it's good practice to have an ascent rate this slow for the last 6 meters especially on a deco dive. It makes me much less "tired" after a dive when doing a proper ascent including a very slow last few meters. I believe a second

Just crossed my fingers and started the update from 1.4.7 to 1.4.8. Took about 2 - 3 minutes (didn't time it really) and parts 1 and 3 where transferred and update was finished. Now wait what happens in the water, hopefully not again a Sleep sleep sleep message, but so far everything looks good (keeping my fingers crossed until after a couple of dives).

Up to now I've had almost nothing but trouble upgrading and last time it needed to restart more than 10 times to go from the last beta to 1.4.7. For me since 1.4.7 i've made about 15 dives all without any problems. I'm a little bit into the if it ain't broke don't fix it now. I've read about spikes in the logbook with 1.4.7 but I haven't seen those so far..

Today I made 2 deco dives (only small deco, but nevertheless deco) and where before I would also see the deco painted after downloading the dives to Divinglog, today on both dives the deco is shown in the logbook, but on both dives nothing is shown in Divinglog. Could this be a divinglog problem or a problem with the software not giving the right data to divinglog? Ps, this is still on fw 1

I had to start the update process for maybe 10-15 times after which it seems has completed now succesfully. Arno Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just sent you a mail regarding another bad > experience updating the OSTC4....

In the past I have done several updates that not always went quite well (maybe coincidence with faulty hardware that HW replaced) and last time HW put the 1.3.x beta version on it after which I did not have any problems yet. How safe is this version? More specifically in the past I had done updates where on several dives everything seemed good, but then all of a sudden the computer would show

It's more of a nice to have feature than a need to have or cannot without. But having seen this come to the Divesoft firmware recently I thought that should it be relatively simple to implement it would be a nice addition.

I just read an article from another dive computer brand that has built an inclinometer into it's last firmware version. This would be a very welcome addition to the OSTC Plus too especially when diving in caves. Hopefully this is also something that is possible for HWOS.

Sorry for my reply in English. It must be very very clear to the end-user when such a setting is reset upon an upgrade. For me personally I use 40/75 and am very happy with it. Sure, going from 40 to 50 won't do much for most of my dives (most deco-dives in the 30-50 meter range), but adjusting 75 to 80 will absolutely shorten my last (6m) deco stop which I would rather not do unless I h

Is/was this only a problem with OSTC Sport and not with TEC?

Sorry to reply in English, but my German is not good enough to reply in German. GF 0% is really not logical unless people are making an oxygen-only dive, and thus a dive to a maximum depth of 6m. I don't know anyone making a dive to 6m max depth and using pure oxygen for the dive. Since GF low 0% means tissue inert gas tension can never be higher than the pressure at depth, no oversatu

Checking again and indeed.... Last October I had a week of diving with multiple dives, there's however something strange, since the very first dive in the sequence also begins high despite having an interval of about a week: 23-09-18 CNS start 0, end 7 01-10-18 CNS start 215, after 26 seconds 2, end 16 01-10-18 CNS start 999, after 26 seconds 16, end 30 02-10-18 CNS start 52, after 26

I also see strange values sometimes however not every time. Last dive I can find is from late december where I did 2 dives; dive 1 ended in CNS 13, where dive 2 started with a CNS of 347 and after 26 seconds it went back to 3.

I disagree on defaulting to 5m just because others do so. For me usually 6m is the last stop ((minimum) deco or safety) and then I'll do a slow ascent to the surface. Maybe there's a possibility to make this setting available from the menu on the computer itself, that is something that seems to make sense since there are so many users who all favor some other setting.

For me the total-per-dive AVG is the most important. This is the one used for deco-on-the-fly. Resettable avg to me has no importance, it doesn't give me useful information (the resettable time does sometimes). Why dotf (and still carry a full featured tmx comp)? Simply I plan my deco dives upfront on my PC using deco software (same algorithm as in OSTC (GF 40/75 sometimes GF 40/80) and

Why does a stored value ever has to be reset automatically? On my good old SK7 when I turn the ring it won't reset by itself, ever... For me this would also work on a digital compass.

+1 for average depth (or at least select it in stead of max. depth). Max. depth really doesn't give me any usefull information while in the water.

Since I used to use an Xdeep black which had this feature, I thought it might be possible to also have it in the Sport. Sport can rotate screen in menu, can it also be programmed to auto rotate when the computer is tilted more than x degrees (for example to show your buddy some information on your computer while your buddy is facing you)? Would be a nice addition to the possibilities.
