Hi Divejy,
Matthias sent me some new switch buttons which are simple to install once you get the hang of the small pins that secure them. Once fitted all hesitation and need to push more than once has gone.
Interestingly the new buttons seem to have a clear sealant over the magnetic core which I ...

Re: Left Right button sensitivity
Hi Divejy,
I have one of the original OSTC3s. What I have found is that the magnetic core within the switch plunger is corroding and the sealing plug gets pushed out. This seems to cause the switch function to go slow. So one side of yours may have failed.

OSTC3 Switch/button failure
After 2 seasons of use the buttons on my OSTC3 have started to malfunction. About 50% of the time the right hand one will take up to 7 seconds to activate.
Upon taking off the bungie holder and removing the red switch buttons it appears that the magnetic material in the switch may be corroding ...

Re: RESET DURING DIVE
Thanks Matthias,
Thanks for the explanation of the power monitoring. For your info the battery in the device at the time was the one it was supplied with.
What do you think is the reason that the dive log was reset to zero and all past dives were lost? I would not expect this to happen unless the ...

OSTC3 S/N 2176 Firmware Version 1.22
I bought a OSTC3 and did a couple of shallow dives in the UK, both CCR and OC. Original Battery, showing 25% remaining, strangely this 25% remaining did not change during these two initial dives nor the subsequent 3 dives in the Red Sea. It performed fine.

OSTC3 Battery Cover
I have just received a new OSTC3 from the main agent in the UK.
On opeing the battery compartment I found a small piece of metal swarf in the battery compartment and a much larger piece hanging from the battery cover.
The thread has been machined on the battery cover and then a groove has been cut ...
