Battery completely empty
I have stopped diving for about 14 months now. My OSTC 2 (hwOS tech) battery was completely empty, the computer didn't react anymore to any push on the 2 red buttons. I connect the charger on my laptop, the charger starts flashing green. I put my computer on the charger and the computer reacted by s...

Depth differences
Hello I had a OSTC 2N that i have replaced by a new OSTC 2 hwOS tech. I dive with 2 computers (backup/security). My second is a simple old Uwatec Aladin Pro Ultra. I did my first dives with the OSTC 2 a couple of 10 days ago and did 9 dives (all between 30 and 60 m). The dept differences goes from 1...

Re: Compass unstable
Hello Ralph
I did a calibration again. the result is even worse.
Now I have a difference between 40 and 50 degrees.
the calibration settings I noted are :
x = - 206
Y = - 993
Z = 1103
what does that mean ?
Thanks

Re: Compass unstable
Hello Ralph, Thanks for the advise. I exactly did what you said. I put the old SUUNTO compass on a place where there is no iron around at least 1m. I draw on a paper the North and set the direction based on the N indicated by the SUUNTO. I then remove the SUUNTO and put the OSTC on the paper (taking...

Re: TTS Calculation
Hello Arno thanks for your feedback. For what I noted, the 1m/1' ascent rate is valid from 3m. There is no such ascent time increase when 6m stops are present. I'm also in favor to slow down a bit the ascent speed when reaching the surface but 1m/1' is a bit slow at my idea. (I do prefer to increase...

Re: Compass unstable
Hello karip I received my new OSTC2 this week and performed many calibrations (also running on v3.01). I have to admit that the compass is not showing the same direction as a "standard" compass. I have between 20 and 40 degrees difference ... which is huge when you dive in bad visibility c...

TTS Calculation
Hello, I'm a OSTC user since several years now (OSTC 2N) and just bought the new OSTC2 with hwOS Tech. Just playing with the computer to understand how the deco planning is calculated. I have set the computer to basic setting for Deco: - Deco model : ZH-L16 (no GF) - Sat/Desat : 85/115 - Gas : Air o...

Re: Asent and graph speed on OSTC 3 and OSTC Sport
Hello Matthias, thanks a lot for your answer. Does that mean that for OSTC (2, cR and 3), we have 2 options of warning : - variable limits but not configurable (speed limits being dependant of depth). It is one set of limits - constant limits (all above 10m/min gives a warning/attention) but the spe...

Re: Asent and graph speed on OSTC 3 and OSTC Sport
looking to buy a new computer for my wife (I have a OSTC 2C), I was wondering if the new OSTC2 has the speed ascent indicator : m/sec, graph or both ? and is it possible to configure the value at which the indicator turns in Red (alarm) like it was possible with the 2N and 2C ? thanks for answer Titus

Re: NDL staying at 0 for a while after deco completion
@Matthias, So it means that we are at the very limit between deco and no deco (with respect of th CF 11 & 12 that add additional conservatism in the non GF model). Is it save to go surface in this state (I mean being at the very limit) ? This being said, I had difficulty to believe that someone ...

Re: NDL staying at 0 for a while after deco completion
Hello Matthias,
I will do my best because I do not know how to do it with "OSTC Tools".
I will download the software and will check how to dump a dive. Any manual (in UK) I might download that could help me ?
Thanks

Re: Deco time when NO GAS SWITCH
@jb2cool Thanks but then let's take my example by using a 50% Nx but keeping same deco plan (6m/2'; 3m/4'). the deco plan has been done by using my both gas (Air + Nx50) Does that mean that when I will reach about 19.5m, my initial decoplan that was 6' (2+4) will be adapted around 19,5m (MOD Nx50-1....

Re: Deco time when NO GAS SWITCH
just a quesion about Deco time calculation : Matthias said that if we stay 1,5 m shallower than change depth, the deco plan will be automatically recalculated to use the current used gas as deco gas. To be clear, let put an example. I use 2 gas : Air and O2 100%, all active, all with their correct c...

NDL staying at 0 for a while after deco completion
Hi, I'm a pretty new user of OSTC 2C. I did a deco dive (max depth 32m) this week and get a deco stop indicator at 3m for about 2min (TTS was about 6min, TTS@+1 = 7 min). When ascending, we made a stop of about 12min at 15m to explore a small wreck. The deco stop disappeared, NDL returned to 0 (TTS ...
