Hello,

This was only introduced for OSTC Sport/3 models with the magnetic push buttons. When "stored" in the bottom of the dive equipment box, next to regulators and boltsnaps, the metallic objects could power up the OSTC (Resulting in battery drain).

Place the nano in the supplied box and it ...

Oui, cela n'a aucune importance.

Hi,

We'd recommend the OSTC nano for this. It has the same screen size as the OSTC 3, a very robust housing and overall design. In the TECH Version you get all the features you need and we see the OSTC nano beeing used as a CCR backup quite often now.

Hi all,

Attached to this mail is the new 1.7.6 beta firmware for all OSTC 4 and OSTC 5 users. This version has, among many smaller changes and fixes, the new compass design for everybody to test. The new compass is highly configurable in the menu ("Compass Style" - this menu is accessible during ...

Hallo,

Matthias

I agree, this looks like the unit is end-of-life unfortunately.

Matthias

Hallo,

Matthias

There are no known issues with this 3.16, so update to 3.16 and I'm sure it will work fine with your 2C then.

Matthias

Hello,

This is a bit tricky, but you can restore it using the ^‘Bootloader v1’ on Windows: https://forum.heinrichsweikamp.com/viewtopic.php?t=4071

The newer OSTC+ (2026 and later) and OSTC Nano models require a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-compatible updater to update the firmware. While the OSTConf iOS app or the latest HWOS Config for Android can perform this task on your mobile device, the old OSTC Companion is unable to do so on desktop ...

The battery compartment in the OSTC+ and the USB port in the OSTC nano are watertight. This is fine for a small leak or in freshwater, but if you dive a week-long liveaboard with a leaking battery cap or missing USB cap, both units will suffer damage.

Matthias

Yes, in bailout mode the OSTC 4 usues normal OC calculations for decompression and ppO2 warnings.

Hi,

I have our comparison sheet attached here. If you don't mind the slightly smaller display, the OSTC nano is very popular right now. Especially for CCR divers (as a backup with fixed setpoints).

Matthias

Matthias
