I could not see any alternative to letting the battery run down, hence the delay in updating this thread. I am pleased to report that it proceeded exactly as advised - the unit finally shut down, and having recharged it, it appears to be now working normally, with no loss of data ...

Hi, I arrived back from a trip abroad by air, and have just found that my OSTC2 is stuck in dive mode at 1m. When I first switched it on, it kept on restarting and scrolling through pages, then settled into dive mode and will not go back to surface mode. Is there any way of resetting the device? If ...

I also have an OSTC2, and just cannot get it to work either with Companion or Subsurface. It shows as paired with my windows 10 desktop computer, and I have tried several different bluetooth dongles, but I always get a 'writeblock error' whichever port I use. I am quite frustrated as to how difficult it is to download dive data from my OSTC 2. Diviac does not support it, so I tried Subsurface, which worked once, but now reports 'error parsing date/time' and the OSTC2 drops the bluetooth connection. I love the computer, but how I wish HW would provide ...
