Re: OSTC plus won't power on
Thanks for that. I don't have a 3.6 volt charger. Cheaper to buy a new battery. Just need to make sure it doesn't discharge.

OSTC plus won't power on
Hi,
Due to Covid I've not dived this year and I think my OSTC plus has completely discharged.
I've tried charging it for a couple of hours but it still won't come on.
I also tried removing and replacing the battery, still won't come on.
Is there something else you need to do if the battery ...

Re: hwOS Sport: New Firmware 10.60
Last download I got was 10.61. Not mentioned here.
Also the screens have changed a lot in the last few releases.
Any update for the OSTC Plus SPORT documentation?
I'm still sitting at my 6m stop wondering what my computer is asking me to do.

Re: hwOS Sport: New Firmware 10.57
Hi,
I went to download 10.57 and got 10.58. Two questions.
1) What's new in 10.58?
2) Why does the computer go back to German? It's done this on the last few updates and it takes me a while to guess where the language is changed as many of the labels mean nothing to me.

Re: Another issue with 10.56?
Matthias,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I've already got Speed Graph set to yes.
But I've also upgraded to 10.57 which might have changed the default?
I'll check again at the weekend.
The green box wasn't intuitive to me.

Another issue with 10.56?
Hi,
I dived today with the new 10.56 software level. As well as the already documented problems with the NDL/TTS portion of the large display I also noticed I wasn't getting the ascent bars beside the current depth. Is this a deliberate change? I downloaded the manual again today and it still shows ...

Re: Which OSTC Plus battery
Matthias,
OK. Thanks. I didn't understand the words, in German, and just looked at the numbers.
So the Trustfire isn't so bad when used in the OSTC Plus at much lower current?
Should I keep with the Trustfire for now or swap it out?

Which OSTC Plus battery
My OSTC Plus came with a Trustfire battery. In one of HW's facebook posts it references a battery comparison at http://www.dampfakkus.de/akku_liste-nach-groesse.php?size=14500&fbclid=IwAR0rELYyBkcBr8SIJ0Xj1wSjRmqD6_R6Pbz7XVSCoIL2W5HQWWAAgxjP8kM

Missing dive numbers
HI,
I'm using SubSurface 4.8.1 and OSTC Plus with software at level 10.49. I upload using bluetooth to a Lenovo Windows 10 laptop.
All the dives I've uploaded since July 2018 are showing the dive number as zero. Everything else seems correct. This is over multiple loads. The dive numbers show up ...

Re: OSTC Plus won't switch on sometimes
Ralph,
I knew that. I was waving it about like an idiot. I shook it like I was mixing a cocktail. Was tempted to try banging it against something, but decided not to. How much movement should be required?
Ron.

OSTC Plus won't switch on sometimes
Hi,
I've had this problem a few times now. This time it caused me a problem so I thought I'd see if anyone else has the same problem.
Sometimes my OSTC Plus won't switch on when I pick it up and press either or both buttons. Normally if I just try later it works.

Re: Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Matthias,
I think the new battery fixed the issue, I'm loosing about 0.8% per day. It would have been less if I'd not done a couple of dives.
Still at 64% after a couple of dives and 44 days.
Thank you for the support.

Only the German version shows 10.40. The English version still shows 10.39 after clearing cache, cookies, etc.

Re: Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Matthias,
Thank you for the kind offer but to deliver the battery would cost more than it is worth. As you think the battery is faulty I'll go to my local electrical store and buy a new one.
Thanks for the support,
Ron.

Re: Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Matthais,
I watched my computer for a month and noted the battery level.

The only time it was out of it's bag was for a single 30 min sea dive.

Re: Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Matthias,
Thanks for the quick response.
Battery type shows as T2 and it's sitting on the charger now and shows yellow and 4% so it is charging.
The firmware is 10.39. I updated it when it came out.
I'll charge it to 100% and do a better check on how it goes down and keep notes.

Re: Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Christian,
I charged my OSTC Plus to 100% and used it on 2 dives. I then washed it in warm fresh water and left it to dry for 24 hours. I then put it away in it's box. The last dive was on 8th October and the battery %age when I put it away on the 10th of October was over 60%, I think it was 67%

Ostc Plus. Which Battery option?
Hi
While on a dive holiday my battery went down to less than 20% after 7 dives. I had expected it to last longer but I fitted a standard AA for the rest of the week.
Now I want to put my original Trustfire 14500 battery back in but I'm not sure which option I should choose. One of the options, 3 ...

Hi,
I've just started using my OSTC Plus and I'm running it in parallel with my old Suunto Vytec until I'm comfortable. I'm running it with GF 40/70 as deep stops are largely frowned upon these days but I want to be quite conservative.
