Re: Charging OSTC 4
It seems strange to me, too.
Both my units, #439 (flooded at 30m) and current #152 have the same back plate.

Hi, I will send photos as soon as my unit returns from service. But both my units #439 and #152 had that notch. I had not any problems witch charging.

Newer versions of OSTC4 have a notch in the bottom plate to keep the charger just in place

Next dive, same problem.
Today @ 23m, 9' of dive display was switched off. After another 15' it starts fast scrolling at normal brightness. After few minutes of scrolling switch to normal status and works fine to the end of the dive (76').

Re: Fog under display
Hi,
My OSTC4 died in a similar way today on its very first dive...
First, at 30m it showed extra white, horizontal lines on display, and a few seconds later turn black with backlit (foto).

So, it is possible to do a wireless communication with tank pressure sensors or reb cells using this coil antenna?

Re: RFID transponder?
Inside OSTC4, below a plastic backplate there is a RFID transponder antenna, made by NEOSID, like these: http://www.neosid.de/fileadmin/user_upload/download/NEOTAG-Produktinfo-Transponderantenna.pdf
I hope it is not for any RFID transponder but for future underwater radio communication with tank ...

It would be a shame not to use more such a wonderful LCD display.
My proposal is to make a picture viewer for i.e. dive site maps. In the simplest solution for one format (PNG?) and exact one 800x480 pixel resolution. In the rich solution for many formats (i.e. PNG, JPEG and BMP) and any resolution ...

Re: feature request: better display of ascent and descent speeds
I think it will be a great idea. Especially because I just changed from XDEEP BLACK, where a descent speed indicator occupied the entire height on the left side of the display, was customizable and was very useful.
