Re: hwOS Tech: 3.01 released

Tks Ralph. Impressive and quite cool when one gets to dive with his own code ;)

One more question : how deep can you use the OSTCs? I used my ostc plus and ostc 2 to 110m. they are rated to 120m by HW I think? Other model can go deeper?
Cheers

Re: hwOS Tech: 3.01 released

Hi Ralph
Sorry to ask but although I have been owning and using 2 OSTCs for approx 2 years I am quite new to the forum and to this whole open source process of software development/upgrade: do you work for HW or are you a independent user/developer?
You seem to know a lot...

Re: no fly time

Hi Ralph
understood.
then before flying it would seem more useful and conservative enough to set the waiting time as for an ascent to 2000m, which is closer to the pressure of a cabin on a jet airliner than the 0.6 bar used for the "no fly time".
right?

Re: no fly time

Hi Ralph
Tks a lot for your detailed answer.
Usually I do deco dives with a very different profile (trimix or air, with nitrox50 and O2) and I had never noticed such a discrepancy in no fly time with other computers. These long shallow dives are new to me and I wondered if someone had experienced ...

no fly time

hello
Both my OSTC2 and OSTCplus gave me some very long no fly and desaturation times (30 to 40 hours) after 90 to 120min shallow cave dives on air (average 10 meters).
I don’t understand why. Another diver with a Suunto got no fly times about half of mine.
thank you

Re: Deco softwares comparison

merci Didier.
Yes that was my question : what other models/ tables could result in such differences compared to Bulhmann ZH L16c. I have already tried VPM and RGBM but don't know the other ones. Tks!

Re: Deco softwares comparison

Hi Didier
What kind of deco models do you have in mind when you mention differences of up to 300% with Buhlmann ZH L16c ?
Thankyou

Re: Deco softwares comparison

Tks Ralph.
It's good to know more about the underlying assumptions and parameters of the OSTC.

Deco softwares comparison

Hi
I know some of you are skilled progammers for deco softwares...
I am a trimix diver, rather new to the sport (but unless you have done it for 20+ years I guess you still are:) and I am wondering about the multiple dive plan softwares available:
I have run 10 dive plans for different scenarios ...
