Transmitter failed - dead?
OSTC 2TR Tech 3.05 When 3.04b is out I decided to see if the Transmitter was working (It's not worked at all for months - well TBH it's never worked under water) No luck, but I found the battery was dead so I replaced it. It then 'worked' for about a week (without diving). The little red LED was fla...

Compass accuracy problem
OSTC 2TR (Tech 3.05) The compass always has an approx +20 (ish) degree error which is enough to be a navigational problem. I'm comparing it with a conventional compass not positioned too closely. I've recalibrated several times with the same repeatable result. This issue started with the version aft...

Re: hwOS Tech: 3.01 released
Hi Ralph
Thanks that worked. I was worried it was broken.
Perhaps if the cal values are void, the firmware should put "COMPASS CAL REQ" in place of "0.00N"

Re: OSTC 2 TR (& plus??)
Dedier, I find it ironic that two months after you posted the previous message OSTC had a serious HSE issue at the Boot Show when a battery exploded. I am told people were hurt. I'm a hardware and software engineer with 25 years experience in product design and a background in safety systems. A manu...

Re: Transmitter OSTC 2 TR
Don't hold your breath. I've been waiting for over a year for mine. Feb 18 - April 19 Don't get me wrong I really wanted to support open source development and like the OSTC design, but the longer I leave it to complain the less leverage I have legally. Thinking of giving up and asking for my money ...

Re: hwOS Tech: 3.01 released - Compass issue
hi,
OSTC2TR Tech.
Just upgraded from 2.98 to 3.01. Compass now only points North.

Re: OSTC 2 TR Charging
In which case, if the fuel gauge is out of calibration (or in a recalibration mode), the battery percent should show 0%/???/CAL or some other value than 99% which is misleading to say the least. Thanks for the list of puck LED states. There is another puck state to add to the list; Red flashing also...

Re: OSTC 2 TR (& plus??)
Instead of detecting the battery, detect the hardware. Is there not a means for the software to probe and ask the hardware what it is? When I've worked on many products where there are multiple variants I normally have input pins or a OTP PROM that tells the software what the hardware is, defined in...

Re: OSTC 2 TR Charging
The puck first goes green, but then flashes green after 10 seconds or so. The display shows 99% charge (in yellow), T4: 3.7V Which is wrong, no way is this 99%. A fully charged LiIon is 4.2V until the charger is removed, anything less damages the battery. Last time this happened I just waited but I'...

Re: TR problem seeing transmitter
Does this mean HW have finally fixed the issue.
I've been waiting for my transmitter for almost a year.
Let us know how you get on when you dive it.

OSTC 2 TR (& plus??)
Suggestion: Devices with the internal battery should detect the hardware and not offer a battery selection in software after a restart whhen the battery is fully discharged or via the reset menu. The battery selection should be fixed. Inadvertently selecting the wrong battery means the charge fails ...

OSTC 2 TR Charging
My OSTC 2 TR seems to have a charging bug. 1: It does not always like some USB sockets, even ones rates at 2.1A. After a while the puck glows red and it stops charging. 2: If the device is left to completely discharge, on next start it says new battery - fine. I select internal 16550 and it restarts...
