Re: OSTConf sensor offsets

Well, turns out I had been misinformed about the salinity setting of my references. My references were 3 different Suunto computers (of dive buddies) and after some more digging I found out that Suunto uses EN 13319 salinity, not fresh as default. I guess that would then explain the difference as I ...

Re: OSTConf sensor offsets

And the battery is in good condition, currently displaying 68 % after 7 dives.

Re: OSTConf sensor offsets

I have only used OSTConf to set the correction, nothing else. After a bit of testing I found out that OSTConf works ok with adding hPa, ie. setting +5 turns out as a +5 hPa, +20 turns out as a +20 hPa correction on the OSTC. However, any minus setting (-1, -5, -10, -20) on OSTConf turns out as a -99...

Re: OSTConf sensor offsets

It says sensor 0A22-7088, offset -99 hPa. I compared to two other computers and the OSTC still gives a 0,5-1 m deeper reading at 40 meters. What else happened was that during a dive yesterday the OSTC’s screen went black all of a sudden and it then told me that it was updating the TR module. After a...

Re: OSTConf sensor offsets

Hi, the salinity setting is 0% in both. I will be doing comparisons with other references in the coming 4 days, but according to my experience, my usual reference is accurate. I've observed the temperature difference between the OSTC and my reference during hour-long dives. As an additional referenc...

OSTConf sensor offsets

Hello, how should the sensor offsets in OSTConf affect temperature and pressure readings in the OSTC? What should the effect be if I set those to the minimum (how much colder, how much less deep)? I'm assuming -(minus) in the pressure setting decreases the depth reading. I've now set both to the min...

Re: Improvement of TR reception

Hi, I have the same problem. I received the transmitter in April and it has been completely useless for the whole time. In the beginning, I managed once or twice to pair the TR with the OSTC, but no connection underwater. Now it won't pair even on land anymore. I've emailed Matthias about it, but he...

Re: OSTC2 Temperature reading

Hi folks, I use OSTConf v1.2.3 and it does not seem to have the option to adjust temperature offset. Is there any other osx/ios software that would have the option?

Re: Compass unstable

I'd like to add that the instability is not the only problem. Another problem is that a 90 degree turn results in a 120 degree change in the reading. And then in a 60-70 degree change. When I turn the computer by 90 degrees, the reading should change by 90 degrees.

Re: OSTC2 Temperature reading

Ralph, could you point me to the correct software? At least OSTConf doesn't seem to have that option. I'd like to adjust the reading because the difference annoys me greatly.

Re: Compass unstable

I have faced the exact same problem. The compass is unstable and jumps up and down constantly even if I keep it absolutely stable. Sometimes the wobbling is +-10 degrees, sometimes +-5 degrees, sometimes something different. The compass does get north more or less right (well, hard to say exactly, b...

Re: OSTC2 Temperature reading

I have experienced the same thing - OSTC giving about 2 degrees warmer readings than my back-up Suunto. Also, when ice diving in the winter I was pretty sure that the water temperature was quite close to 0 and the OSTC showed +2 degrees. The Suunto showed a temperature of ~0. However, may I suggest ...
