Something is really wrong when diving computer needs to be charged in water with ice cubes.
I have two chargers, both warm up when charging OSTC4, OSTC2 newer warms up while charging.

Re: Energieverbrauch/Ladeprobleme/Korrosion
In warm climate I charged my OSTC4 even between dives during the day and then the whole night, it barely charges enough, extra fan shouldn't be the solution.

That's nice but something is not right when you need extra fan.

Re: Warming while charging
Have done few trips to very warm places like Indonesia and I have to say that the warming is really annoying. If you don't have good AC it's impossible to charge OSTC4. When doing multiple dives per day you can barely charge the computer enough during night. I also have OSTC2 and there's no problems ...

Re: Corrosion on the OSTC4
The same once happened to my Orcatorch light on a liveaboard in Thailand, it started to "grow". It was type of light that you twist to turn it on/off and that white stuff was growing just at the edge where one parts goes inside other. My plan was to do a reclamation but I lost the light on the last ...

Feature request: safety stop depth adjustment
I have OSTC2 with tech fw and OSTC4. On OSTC4 I can change the safety stop depth and would like to do the same on OSTC2.

Re: OSTC Tools for Windows - HWOS Config for Android
This version worked. Didn't have to choose reduced speed, but it was noticeable slower than the original version.
For some reason the RTE wasn't updated to newest version at first and OSTC4 blinked red text "update RTE", but on the third time it was updated and now everything is ok.
Thanks.

Re: OSTC Tools for Windows - HWOS Config for Android
No luck with new version. I think the connection is lost even sooner, maybe at 3-4%.
Also tried with another Android phone and same result.

Re: OSTC Tools for Windows - HWOS Config for Android
Writing firmware stops at 6%. When I start HWOS Config the bluetooth is connected ok, clock is updated, when firmware update is started it stops at 6%. OSTC4 goes to home screen and when I check the bluetooth from the OSTC4 it's off. Does not help if I put it back on. Uninstalled and installed HWOS ...

I'm looking for backup computer and can't decide which one to choose. My options are OSTS2 and OSTC+. Will select tech software and I have no need for CCR connection. My primary computer is OSTC4. Just to make sure, do you have "Draw dive computer reported ceiling red" selected on subsurface?
It's at preferences -> tech setup -> ceiling display setup

Warming while charging
I read from the manual that it takes up to six hours to download completely. For me it's way more than that because the computer warms up and stops charging untill it cools down. Does everyone else's computers warm up? And how much?
At room temperature 23-24C it takes 12h to charge from ~80% to 100%.

Did a short dive under ice. Mostly just trying to be upside down under the ice. Max depth was 5.1m and the depth graph is missing from the log. Only have two dives + the factory testing "dive" on the unit. The first dive a week ago (19.2.2022) shows correct graph, but on the latest dive there is no ...

OSTC 4 optical port use
Hi,
I have the OSTC 4 with optical port and I get some questions about the port. I only do REC dives.
I know "nothing" about rebreathers so how would I use the optical port with rebreather? Does the optical port have some type specification or number?
Thanks

So should I download some software that I can use to play with the computer when it arrives?

Re: Considering getting OSTC 4
I have to use compass quite a lot on my dives. I really like how compass is implemented on OSTC 4, it's probably because of the big display that it can be shown the way it is. I also think that three button interface is kind of optimal interface for this kind of devices. The reason I haven't yet ...

Re: Considering getting OSTC 4
Alternative for OSTC 4 would be Perdix AI and the price is about the same, so the price is not that important decision factor.

Considering getting OSTC 4
Hi, I'm in market for a new dive computer and OSTC 4 is one strong candidate. So far my diving is recreational but probably some time next year I'll start going towars technical stuff. So for now all OSTC computers would be sufficient, but there are some features on OSTC 4 that I really like. The ...
