I have run the simulator. It displays Air for air and 50/0 for ean50.
I just noticed that the upgrade to v 1.50 switched all my gases to active, weird.

Re: selected gas indication
I have only used air in the last couple of weeks, and I am sure that "Air" was showing on the display

Re: Diving Log downloader update
Sven,
that would be great.
Not that it would change my life, but every time I open the logbook I think that the clock on the computer needs to be adjusted, then I realise it is the end time of the dive
Thanks!
Giovanni

Re: Diving Log downloader update
Sven,
The time recorded by the OSTC is definitely the end time of the dive, not the start time. I don't know exactly why this choice was made, but it is not a major issue.

Re: stop too long ?(ostc vs vision )
Ulrich, this is just a wild guess: do you, by any chance, have oxygen configured amongst the five gases with the "active gas" flag set? The behaviour you describe looks similar to what the computer does when it expects a gas switch at 6 metres. I.e., below 6m it shows the time to surface n...

Re: PC Simulation to match?
I use GAP too for planning. There are other options which use Buhlmann with GF, but GAP is the most reliable I have found so far (in the sense that the other programs that I have tried often crash or do not run on my pc). I also have a freeware version of JDeco which runs on mobile phones and Blackb...

Re: Salinity
OSTCfan Wrote: > If no > choice is given, my preference would be salt water > rather than fresh water. Why? Wouldn't it be more conservative (i.e. display a greater depth than real) if set for fresh water when diving in salt water? This assuming that you are using the computer only as a gauge and cu...

Re: time on ostc
Hello, I have been checking my computer's time for about 10 days (firmware v. 1.30), and it has not diverged significantly from the PC's clock, which is periodically synchronised with a time server. I would say that after 10 days the two clocks have diverged by 5 seconds at most. I think that this r...

No-fly and desaturation time
Hello, I got the OSTC yesterday, I installed the latest firmware and I tried it immediately on a very short night dive. I did a RT of 20 minutes with a max depth of about 35m. At the end of the dive the display indicated a rather short desat time, and a shorter no-fly time, perfectly in line with CF...
