Hi all,
This was a worst case ceiling (10 min at 60 m, Tx 18/50, GF 15/80) with the previous model:

Re: Ceiling Popping Up - Take 2
Hi Paul,
In OSTC firmware, GF_low is pinned (for the current dive) to the lowest ceiling you encountered.
Meaning is you start off-gasing while playing around at mid/shallow depth, the model keep in mind you have been deeper, and that you have more secure stops to do.

Hi all,
I am well aware of this. It is (I think) related to the Gradient Factor algorithme, that is unstable in deciding where the decompression starts (ie. what is the reference depth where to apply GF_low). I have been hunting it for nights. Literally...

This discussion turns creasy... (no offense meant here)
People now want a count-down to be working in a condition they perfectly know to be inefficient for off-gasing.
I am curious to know how to justify that

Re: BETA Firmware 2.25 and the CF of the 3rd Bank
Hello Rob.
This is not new. I think it have always been the case (lately ?). New stable versions do properly reset all CF values to defaults.
Beta version do not (because it is too dangerous for not yet polished firmwares).

Hi Vortax,
OSTC Planner is not just a dive planner. It runs the OSTC code and simulate the OSTC underwater behaviour as much as possible.
If you look closely, you will see the first runtime is computed at 30:04, the second at 30:18.
