WARNING: OSTC 2N stolen

Hi all, I would like to advertise that I got robbed of my bag in the train leading from Bruxelles-Midi to Brussels-Airport. My OSTC 2N nr 6131 was inside with many other belongings. The bottom line was customized with "Daniel Flipo DAN256603". If this OSTC shows up on forums or anywhere, be carefull ...

Questions about Nofly computation

Hi all, I notice that different computers give very different values for Nofly when carried by people diving together, so I wonder how the Nofly time is computed. 1) OSTC takes 60% (customisable) of the total desaturation time. OK, could anybody explain to me the rationale beyond this choice? 2) On ...

Re: strange behavior of deco calculation

Hi Tom, Are you aware of ``Isobaric counter diffusion''? the basic rule is : Never let the partial pressure of Nitrogen rise (significantly) When you switch from TX22/36 to EAN26 at 40m, you switch from 42% to 74% N2, which is an increase of 76% in PPN2!!! See f.i. the book "Deco for Divers" by MArk ...

Menu change suggestion

Hi all, In another thread (OSTC 2N V 2.7 updated with a problem) I suggested a change for the OSTC menus, but I admit I should have opened another thred, that's what I do finally ;) I find the "CCR Setup" a bit hidden inside the "More" menu. I would suggest to move the "CCR Setup" menu one level up ...

Re: OSTC 2N V 2.7 updated with a problem

Hi all, I find the "CCR Setup" a bit hidden inside the "More" menu. May I suggest to move the "CCR Setup" menu one level up? i.e. swap "CCR Setup" and "Reset Menu" to have Menu: => Logbook => Gas Setup (or OC Setup?) => CCR Setup => Setup => More: ====> Reset Menu ====> Set Time ====> Battery Info ...

CF25

Hi everybody, CF25 is named "Divisor Decoplan" in Firmware 2.70. I am puzzled about the data I get in the logbook with CF25 set to 6 and sample rate set to 10 (default). Reading the documenation about Custom Functions, CF25 is described as "Debug" and should be left to the Default Value 0. As far as ...

How are switches to bailout in CCR mode logged?

Hi everybody, Reading the latest ostc_interface_description.odt (dated 2013/05/26), I have a question about CCR mode: I do not understand how switches to bailout are recorded into the logbook. For each dive in CCR mode, the 5 possible diluents are recorded in the header (bytes 19-28), it sounds ...

Small logbook issues

Hi all, While working on Perl scripts to print my logbook with LaTeX, I stumbled upon strange things in OSTC.DMP files (produced by libdivecomputer). The files were provided by Jan (Solodiver). The dives were done in CCR mode with firmware 1.95, but dumped after 1.96 was installed. 1) There is an ...

Yet another parser for OSTC logs

Hello everybody, I have released a new parser written in Perl to convert OSTC.DMP files produced by libdivecomputer to UDCF format. It should work with both firmwares (1.90) but has only been tested with the old format (1.90). It is available here . If you do not read French, get file "loogbook.zip ...

Re: Wishlist for JDiveLog

@matthias

Matthias, can you confirm that

(OC/CC, GF or not)
values are recorded in the OSTC's internal logs?

In CC mode, are the setpoints changes recorded in the tags?

If the format of OSTC's internal logs is described somewhere, please let me know.

Thanks,

Daniel.
