Re: OSTC Plus Charging Problem

This is my experience as well. I usually carry a decent usb power bank with me. That can be kept fully charged from a low current source over a few hours, and it will provide the necessary for my OSTC when it needs charging in a hurry.

Re: large display setting -> bigger gas switch info

You might look at the possibility of using just one contact lens. Put it in the eye on the same side as your computer. It may take a little time for your brain to get used to it, but you'll find you'll use one eye for distance and one for close. I've been doing this for 20 years.

Passing through a gas change.

As I'm hoping to do some diving later on this year, and it now being spring, I upgraded my Plus to V3.13 and had a happy few hours doing some simulations, just to get back to familiarity. One thing I noticed on doing a 2 gas dive is, if I ignore the option to change to an enabled deco gas on ascent,...

Sounds like it's operating like it should then, apart from the ghost presses of course. I'd wait until Matthias arrives here, or email HW at service@heinrichsweikamp.com

Re: OSTC+ engages the left button

And is it obvious that the sensitivity of the left button changes? And even at minimum sensitivity, the left button is still operating without being touched?

When you say TTS of 55 minutes, I assume you mean a total run time of 55 mins. I've just done a plan on MultiDeco and got a run time of 51 mins so pretty close.

Re: Better diluent - gas change in new firmware

I agree. The computer reminds you at the change depth, when the p02 is suitable. It's an easily understood, simple concept and one that's been taught on tech courses in the past. I much prefer the way the old firmware dealt with this.

simulator depth + and -

It's no big deal, but I find it wrong that to increase the depth on the simulator, I press -1m, and to decrease the depth I press +1m. I'm sure it wasn't this way around on my old Mk2. I can appreciate why it's this way round, but it still doesn't seem right (:P)

No. It adds each day. At midnight.
I don't know what the maximum seconds it will do each day, but it'll be easy enough to test

Re: New 3.13 Firmware

Have a look at custom function CF48: Time offset/day

This Custom Function will correct the internal clock. The Value represents a number of seconds that will
be added to the clock at midnight.
Default value: 0:00s
Suggested range: -2:00s...+2:00s

What is the GF displayed in surface mode?

When I do a dive on a high GF of 80 for example, after I have surfaced I get a slowly reducing GF shown on the surface mode screen. That I can understand, but why does it start off higher than 80% Surely if I haven't broken 80% on the ascent, it can't be higher than that after 10 minutes on the boat...

Re: WARNING: OSTC 2N stolen

Hard luck mate. I've taken the liberty of copying to The Dive Forum. A diver might have the knowledge to change the name, but the ordinary man in the street probably won't. The serial number wouldn't be changed though. There's a good chance that the thief will realise that this is an expensive bit o...

Or use Chrome. Right click / translate to . And you can set it up so it does it automatically.

Get to your stop; stop; start the stop watch; after 3 minutes, stop the stop watch; start your ascent to the surface. :-)

I see the big benefit of bungies, is there are 2. If one breaks / becomes undone, the other will hold. A single strap fails and you've lost your computer.
