Either a question or a suggestion depending on how dumb I am
I have question about setting up Bail out gases when diving CCR. Today I carried 2 BO (NX29 and NX80) so I did set up my gases as follow : Nx29 active, first gas, change depth 0 Nx80 active, no, change depth 10m So when I circled my parameters before the dive (right button), under the BO field, I on...

Re: OSTC 7860 software for mac and decompression
Hi Blennie
I don't know much about subsurface but Mac Dive works like a charm on my iMac. Moreover Nick is really helpfull and updates his software on a regular basis.
I bought it and love it.
It's worth taking a look for sure.

Re: Frog abandonned...
Well a few years back everyone had a Aladin of some sort and it wasn't upgradable (if that's a word) and people used them for years and years because they worked. One of my buddy also has a frog and it's perfect for what he does and he's very happy about it. Why change something that works perfectly...

I just gave a shot at the french translation : I've put the changes in bold for a better view especially when it's a spelling error. TCODE tDivemenu_Gaslist, "list e gaz" ; Gaslist or "liste des gaz" TCODE tResetMenu, "Menu Remise à Zéro " ; Reset Menu or if you are lim...

Own start up screen
I would like to know if it is easy to dabble with the code to change what is shown in the start up screen ?
I'm no programmer at all and I have no idea of the skills required to do it and if there is a chance I might mess up whole thing.
Thans for your advice.

Go on the Mac Dive forum and Nick is having a beta that should fix the problem. And if not, follow the procedure to send him the data so he can look at it. And in no time you'll have a fix.

I've just downloaded 5 new dives onto Mac Dive and everything is working well. Profile is good, temperature are back to normal.
Here is the beta you can use : http://www.mac-dive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1433

@ Teasy,
I don't know if your problem is related to v2.70. I will check very soon. I had the same problem lately (v2.50) and I've talked to Nick and he corrected it and put out a beta that you can find on the forum under support.
Hope that helps.

Re: V2.70 Diluent and Gases
Alright.
I got it.
Thanks a lot. It makes complete sense. I was afraid that the deco calculation would have been using the Gas in the gas menu and not in the diluent.
Thanks for clearing that up.

V2.70 Diluent and Gases
I have a quick question about the new CCR Menu Diluent. In that menu I can set up my CCR Diluent(s) for the dive. It's a great idea so I can enter all (I only have 2 for now) the diluent I'm using and only activate the one relevant for the actual dive. But then I cannot turn G1 (which was my diluent...

Sorry to bother, but this change isn't in v2.50 is it ? I've tried the simulator but the better gas wasn't highlighted in yellow.

Re: Differences in Dive Log programs on computer
I can only speak for MacDive. I've talked to Nick about the discrepancies between what the OSTC recorded and what MacDive would log. It seems it comes down to what is the last sample you take. He did tweak it down in his latest version and the worst difference I had was 8 seconds, which is perfectly...

Awesome. Looking forward to test it.
And as scubatinoo said, a bootloader for Mac would be great. It's so simple to update the OSTC with windows' bootloader that I want it for my Mac too.

I'm afraid I can't. Maybe it has to do with altitude or something.
