Whatever way it's displayed you'll still have to wait until it is zero so what's the difference?
I can't see this as being of any use really. Minutes are small enough if you've got an hour to do.

Re: OSTC 2N Battery Problem
I'm going to have to send the computer back to you for repair/replacement battery, I think.
It was charged fully last week but wouldn't turn on on the boat prior to this evening's dive.
When I got home I connected the charge lead to power the unit up and the battery was showing only 3.11v

OSTC 2N Battery Problem
Hi, Serial #2791. I have a problem with my battery. I haven't been able to dive for two months however I have kept the battery topped up so it doesn't run out entirely. Last Sunday I had to travel to the US and charged the battery before leaving. Today I lifted the computer to change gas settings fo...

OK that's great! I figured it would I guess I must have exceeded the .1-3m limit when using the simulator. I'll have another bash this evening.
Thanks for replying.

Flashing 'Better Gas' in bailout mode?
Hi all, I've searched for any mention of this over the last year but didn't find anything so posting my question here. The scenario (simplified in order to focus on the question): -------------- I'm doing a 70m dive. I have two cylinders with me, one is my bailout gas that I can go onto at max depth...

Re: CCR setpoint changing with OSTC 2n
I think this would be a fantastic feature to add to the custom function set! Anything that reduces task loading for a diver can only be a good thing and I'd imagine, certainly in the majority of cases anyway, a diver is going to want to have the OSTC accurately reflect the PPo2 that he/she is breath...

Better gas being shown on descent..
Hi all, During a dive yesterday to 55m I noticed that, on the way down, the current gas was highlighted in yellow and was flashing. I've not seen this before other than during an ascent when the 'better gas' change is prompted. The prompt to 'change' gas came as I passed somewhere around the 30-40m ...

Hi,
I would prefer option 2 as well. Also think the dil should only appear when in CCR mode as per Scubatinoo's suggestion.
Thanks
David

Re: CCR gas switches
OK thanks Reiner, so, just to be clear if you bail out to a stage gas and ascend the computer will prompt you to switch to another, better, gas when you reach the MOD of the gas. Is this correct?

CCR gas switches
Hi all, quick question. I'm an open circuit diver but have a question about how gas changes are prompted when using the CCR mode on the OSTC. When I'm diving open circuit the computer will prompt me to change gas when I ascend to the MOD of a gas in my gaslist. Does this work the same way in CCR mod...

Re: Deco stop not counting down
Hi, yes, I understand that it will clear if you ascend but, until you know this, it is a little unnerving to say the least. I think the trouble is that it is not clear that this stop is a gas change stop rather than a deco stop. If the screen font was in a different colour for gas changes or if ther...

Re: Deco stop not counting down
Thanks for the swift replies guys. Matthias, my gas setup is: G1 *TX 18/40 at 0m G2 NX 32 at 36m G3 NX 80 at 10m Please let me know your thoughts. Reiner, thanks for the explanation. For the time being I'll change the MOD of the gas to my planned switch depth or else deactivate CF55. Regards David

Deco stop not counting down
Hi, I've looked through previous threads on this subject but can't find a definitive answer so I'm posting a new thread. I've noticed (as have other divers I know) that sometimes we'll get a deco stop on the OSTC that doesn't count down, in fact it never ends. If I have a deco gas with an MOD of 10m...

Jerry, my comp is at home, I am at work, however using HW's Deco Planner, and with the deco offset set to 1m, I am getting the same times as you listed i.e. 29:02 30.0m Deco: 3 m : 10 ' 42 ' 6 m : 4 ' 45 ' 9 m : 2 ' 47 ' 12 m : 1 ' 48 ' 15 m : 1 ' 49 ' 0 m : --- ' 51 '

Cool! Looks like it's in the 2.20 release.
Haven't loaded it yet but it looks like HW have been working hard:-) Seems to be plenty in this release.

Re: OSTC Planner - new decompression software.
@JeanDo Thanks. Unless I'm missing something the trouble is that the planner is writing back, to the device, incorrect values for bottom and ascent gas consumption. The labels on the planner interface say (Bottom Gas (/min)) and if I assume this is requesting litres/min (since that is what the OSTC ...

Re: OSTC Planner - new decompression software.
Great piece of software! I like it! It installs and runs perfectly on my Win7 PC and reads and writes without issues to my OSTC 2N, no problems! I've noticed one issue however, I have custom functions CF56 & CF57 set to the default of '200' which equates to a gas consumption of 20 litres/min. Wh...

It worked for me using FileZilla as an ftp client. Are you attempting to connect directly from your browser? Internet Explorer is rubbish for this.
