Having slept on it... not literally though... I am going to change the battery first and if this does not help I will send it to you, Matthias.
However any ideas why my pc does not see it? it registered it on a com5 ...

right this is seriously doing my head in... i got my ostc about 6 months ago. it was second hand. i have finally got some time and fancied updating the software. first the ostc did not was not switching on. so i plugged it in thinking... hmm bizzare i am sure the bsttery was not anywhere near flat ...
