I have an OSTC 2 running the latest firmware 3.20. I have just noticed a strange thing relating to the Bluetooth option in the menu.

I have not yet figured out what causes this change, but what happens is that sometimes the option says Bluetooth and at other times it says USB. Even if it says USB ...

What is IBCD? Have never heard of this term in 33 years of diving and over 4,400 dives.

Box to download all was not ticked. It takes a long time to just get the list, then you can unselect all and select the one/s you want.

This has happened before after an upgrade.

I also used today and same thing happened, downloaded over 140 dives.

Okay, I did nothing different to downloading that I know of and yesterday it worked okay, only downloading that day's dive. Strange, never happened before.

Loaded this on my OSTC 2 and today did a dive. Worked great but when I went to download the dive using Subsurface, it downloaded every dive. Something wrong?

There has not been an update to 2N software for many years.

From experience with OSTC v Shearwater, if configured with same GF, time to deco and deco are within a minute of each other.

Thanks heaps. No chance to test due to 14 day isolation and decision to stop boat diving till this is all over.

Note: update failed to work with Subsurface but okay with OSTC Companion.

Okay, no problems. I am locked down in self isolation after returning from overseas dive trip so cannot dive for almost two weeks. I have now redone and gone back to 3.08 successfully.

Matthias sent me some software and a hex file. After a bit of effort, I managed to change the firmware to the one for OSTC Sport and then via normal upgrade to V3.09 Beta 3. I am sure he will post the details here soon.

Great news about solving the updating problem. I have not been able to do it despite trying numerous software options, including Android. Also now seems to cause problems downloading dives or updating settings.

Still cannot update to any other firmware as per my previous posts. Any ideas? Tried 2 laptops both have same result. Can download dives, update settings, but cannot update firmware.

Okay, have so far spent an hour trying to update to beta 2 unsuccessfully. Also tried to go back to V3.08 without luck. Rebooted my laptop too and that has not helped. Best effort using Subsurface was 3% (and it has now put weird symbols in name area) and OSTC Companion with 13%. How are others ...

Thanks, will update now. Note that a few times this afternoon when I was trying to download my dive from today, when I tried to go to the Bluetooth setting, it was not there on the menu. This happened at least 4 times (I had problems with my laptop). Another bug?

Ralph, had another OSTC as backup with different firmware. I had no problems, logbook looks okay and NDL was shown okay in big screen format, although when I first switched to it it did not appear for a second.

Used today on a 45 metre dived, worked great, swap from bottom to deco gas very easy. No problems at all.

Hard to tell about TTS as only 6 and 5 metre stops showing. My OSTC 2 shows all stops, yours seems to show only shallowest two. Fairly close anyway.

Green background means you are shallower than the depth of the deco stop. Need to go closer to the depth. IN this case you are at 16 m and need to be ...

Has worked okay for me with Subsurface (my computer is OSTC 2).

Used new beta today, noticed that when using the alternate display, the NDL does not show anything. Otherwise all worked okay (only 27 metre dive).

Change for first gas was MOD. Running simulator shows both 27 and 59 used but for a 45 m dive for 18 mins, only 147 litres/13 bar of bottom gas (12 litre tank at 12 l/min) used but 140 litres/36 bar of deco gas (3 litre tank at 9 l/min).

Yes, changed to deco gas as planned at 13 m at 28 mins and was then using 59% as planned. As you can see from the photo below, at 32 mins I had 7 mins @ 4 m deco (sorry, but screen grab shows 1 @ 6m, but it changed to 7 @ 4 within a few seconds), but by 34 mins it has cleared. Note that the ...
