Re: hwOS Tech: 2.99 beta released

Good afternoon, This morning, I had a problem with my OSTC Plus / hwOS 2.99 beta : during descent, the screen froze (see picture attached) and stayed frozen until the battery was empty. The battery level was above 50% and the unit worked well on the surface. Fortunalely I had a second computer. Afte...

Re: Deco softwares comparison

Hi JL,

I'm back to the forum after some days, and Motardplongeur already did answer you. I agree with him, no serious dive shop down town Paris (Le Vieux Campeur should be avoided, for several reasons). I also know the three mentioned shops, they are serious but take care of prices !

Re: Deco softwares comparison

Hi Jean-Luc,

I don't talk about only different implementations of Bühlmann ZH-L16, but about other tables (Doris, VPM, RGBM, MN73, Comex, ...)

Bühlmann ZH-L16 + GF seems to be in the middle of deco times given by all these models.

Re: Deco softwares comparison

Thanks Ralph, your explanation is clear enough.

By the way, 10 to 20% discrepencies between different computations are insignificant, since total ascent time can be as different as 300% considering different models !

Re: Silicon sleeve

Hi Deylan,

Your proposal is very nice, but I'm not familiar with 3D printing. We have a printer at the office, but I suppose a special material is needed to print a supple sleeve ?

A friend of mine has an OSTC 3 and he would be happy to get such a sleeve.

Best regards,
Didier

Re: Silicon sleeve

Hi Delyan,

Well, it was pretty hard to put in place, but after about 40 dives, no problem with this sleeve.

Note I use the rechargeable lithium ion battery, so I never have to remove the sleeve (I wonder how many times it could be removed / reinstalled before to cut itself).

Re: Silicon sleeve

Hi, I managed to get one from Innodive for my OSTC Plus (they requested a copy of the Heinrichs Weikamp invoice) ; not sure they still have the one for OSTC 3, smaller. This protection is essential since the surface of OSTC with alloy body is very fragile and quickly marked with scratches. Heinrichs...

hwOS tech manual

Hello, I just downloaded the new hwOS tech user manual, I have a few suggestions : - The cover page is nice, but with the black background it is not printer friendly, especially for those who have an ink jet printer. Same for the back cover page. - It would be very usefull to have bookmarks in the P...

Last dive strange indication

Hello,

I downloaded stable release 2.97 last Friday (after 2.97 beta), and since I didn't dive and didn'y a simulation. So I'm amazed to see "1d9h" beside "Last dive" ("Dern. Plong") in french.

Strange, isn't it ?

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.93beta released

Thanks to the whole OSTC community for their questions, remarks and proposal !

Maybe I've lost something :S, but what does mean IBCD ?

And unlike Claude, I would suggest "Plong" instead of "Plgée" to translate "Dive" in french ;).
