Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.07 released
Hi, Nine shallow and deep (with deco) CCR dives with 3.07, no new problem to signal. The place where I dive these days is very sunny, and the blue colour used for disabled gases in the diluant list and OC gas list is not easy to read, I think a lighter blue would be better. This is not specific to 3...

Re: Can't close OSTC plus battery cap
Hi,
I encountered this trouble several times with my own OSTC Plus. You must perfectly align the cap with the body of the computer, the smallest misalignment will prevent you to screw the cap. Easier to say than to do !
Regards.

Hi,
French version : in the "Paramètres Déco" menu, there's an item "Stop élargir". I don't understand the meaning of this, could you explain and give the english text (to avoid me to load the english version on my OSTC ) ?
Best regard.

Hi guys,
The last Ralph's proposal seems the best solution, along with an updated user manual given the number of improvements and changes ! Otherwise, the forum will be deluged with questions !
Kind regards.

Hi Ralph,
Thanks for this clear explanation.
Q : which altitude is taken for "flight" ? I could not find this information in the manual, maybe it's somewhere in this forum...
Kind regards.

Re: hwOS Tech: 3.03 beta 1 released
Hi HW,
I've updated my OSTC Plus with this beta 1. A first strange behaviour : in the logbook, the left column indicates 999 for all dives, instead of the dive number, although the logbook offset is correctly set.
Best regards.

Re: hwOS Tech: 3.01 released
Hi Laurie, I have the same problem for each major release, so I found a trick : I adjust only 3 digits for the first dive, what is incredibly faster ! For example, instead of 2173, I go up to 173, then my brain just has to add a "2" before the displayed number, what is within its reach ! B...

Re: Trouble to charge OSTC Plus battery
Hi Matthias, Thank for the advice : the charger was connected to a USB port of a laptop probably not able to provide enough current ; once connected to another power supply, charging looks ok. This is strange because from the beginning (more than one year) I always used laptop USB port with no troub...

Trouble to charge OSTC Plus battery
Hi, My OSTC Plus being locked, I had to remove and reinsert its battery ; this is the original 3.7 V rechargeable lithium battery. When the computer starts (firmware 3.00 and later 3.01), I choose "3,6 V chargeable (T2)" - in fact 3.7 V. Then the computer indicates 99% but the voltage is o...

Re: Screen freeze during dive
Hi Ralph,
Remember I had a similar problem with 2.99 beta (see https://forum.heinrichsweikamp.com/read.php?6,20078, October 2) ; it seemed to be compass related. Thanks to my OSTC Plus, I hadn't to wait the battery to be empty...

Re: OSTC 2 TR (& plus??)
Hi jam_uk, The OTSC Plus, which has exactly the same electronics as the OSTC 2, can be fitted with a rechargeable battery or with a non-rechargeable battery, the user decides what is the more convenient for him. Since their voltage are almost the same (3,6 V vs 3,7 V), there is no means for the soft...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.99 beta 5 released!
Thanks Ralph for your explanation. I really did nothing - special or not - between the morning dive and the afternoon dive when the trouble came : the computer stayed with my equipment in a shady corner during lunch, nobody could play with it. Well, don't spend to much time with that problem, until ...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.99 beta 5 released!
Hi again, You're right, it was probably "Err O2", not "Err 03". The three views of the internal logbook are attached. On the profile, you can see a blue line at the begining of the descent, but no gas was selected (see the third view). Then I changed for gas 1, the line changed t...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.99 beta 5 released!
Hi Ralph, I dived this week-end with release 2.99 beta 5 ; open circuit with air, no additional gas, no gas change until problem occured. Battery aroung 80%. No problem during the first three dives, but while descending the fourth time, the current depth was displayed on a red background, Pp02 displ...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.99 beta released
Hi, Last week I performed my first CCR dives with an OSTC (hwOS 2.99). It's globally satistying (approximately the same deco as the CCR computer), but there is two points I'm not sure to understand. Diluant was air. With a set point of 0.7, the indication Dil:0.70 (white) is displayed from the surfa...

As fa as I remember, I did not recalibrate the compass after loading 2.99 beta for in-situ testing.
Best regards.
