Yes it does heat up and when it gets too warm it stops charging. I don't discharge it more than 70% and I let it charge overnight. I also make sure its in a well ventilated area to charge. I actually put the charging part and computer once in water to test and it charged quick. But I can't be bother...

The reason why I am asking is because at high altitude the computer starts the dive only once you go past 4m depth or so (or at least that how it was with the 2N)

What altitude was the dive at?

More information? What type of computer? What firmware? What altitude did you do the dive at? How long was the dive?

Actually the Beta of the OSTC4 does automatically change the set point as with a Shearwater...
