Re: Passing through a gas change.
Hi, you have to distinguish between the displayed as-of-now data and the calculated decompression plan data: The as-of-now-data such as current depth, next stop depth (lower right), ceiling & (super-)saturation (custom view) are computed on the basis of what you have done up to now. So for the d...

Re: sport 10.68 firmware display issue
That's the "custom text" which seems to have not been retained from the old firmware, probably because you made a bigger jump in the FW versions. You can simply replace it by your favorite custom text via the 'name' function in OSTC companion or other OSTC tools.

Re: OSTC Sport - Gasbedarf

Re: Display problem with my OSTC Sport firmware 10.38
Hi Jean, the display problem will most likely go away with an updated firmware, because it is not a hardware problem but the software is just stuck in printing in reverse mode. Seems to be a bug in that old firmware. You do not need to install every single update. As you will be doing a big jump, yo...

Re: TTS bei deaktivierten Dekogasen, Bug?
Hi, i think that solution is warm, but not hot. Try out this: gas1: Air, 56m, first gas2: Nx50, 21m, disabled gas3: O2, 6m, deco gas4 & 5 disabled Start the simulator, descent to 30 m and then give the dive some +5' such that the first stop goes down to 12 to 15 meters. Now ascent to 20 meters a...

Re: Gradient Factors
I really had to look into the code to give a prceise answer. Here it is: 1) The GF-low reference depth is set to the depth of the deepest deco stop found during the whole dive. 2) When two plan are calculated (fTTS or OC bailout), each plan has its own GF-low reference depth. 3) When the GF factors ...

Ah, that's DISPLAY settings, having nothing to do with DECO settings! This is the "Speed .. adaptive" setting i wrote about: if switched on, the color coding of the vertical speed bargraph depends on current depth, becoming more erarly red the shallower you are. 10m/min is - at least as of...

Re: Gradient Factors
Hi Yves, "Variable Speed" is no longer in the current hwOS firmware. As of now, the OSTC always calculates the ascent with 10m/min, as defined within the Bühlmann model. This parameter or better to say speed limitation is important, as can be seen when looking at the half-times of the fast...

Re: OSTC+ Tech simulations
Hi Yves, that's probably one of the longest posts we ever had! I'll try to catch the remaining open items only: Ascents are calculated with 10m/min, because that's the design of the Bühlmann model. Sure the slower the better, so when you do 6m/min or even just 1m/min up from the last stop you'll be ...

Re: OSTC+ Tech simulations
Hi, you are good on track and actually already deep into the details of the deco calculation algorithm. NDL x' is the "count-down" of remaining NDL time. With x = 0 you are riding on the edge of the NDL (in German language we call that "Nullzeitschrammeln"). It is correct that th...

Re: Gradient Factors
The supersaturation bars show the sum of N2+ He, as this is what goes into the deco calculation and what the GF low, GF high and m-line is rated against. The turquoise bar actually just looks like a bar when there is no supersaturation at all, indeed it the 16 horizontal lines that show the relative...

Ähm, sorry, too much other stuff can into way... Did the results fit with your expectation? From my side, and some background information: Saturation and Desaturation factors are written in sequence sat & desat, with sat >= 100% and dest <= 100%. Technically, they speed up gas uptake and slow do...

Re: Batterie size issue
For the 1.5 V battery, there is a combination of power consumption calculation and battery voltage levels. The lower one determines the resulting percentage that is shown. Please note that 1.5V cells in the Plus model are intended for emergency use only, as this model internally runs on 3 Volt. So a...
