Re: More safe with Gradient Factor

Hi,

40/100 is less safe then 30/90.
If you want a safer GF you have to use 20/80 or so.

From my Point of view 60/80 is not recommendable for trimix.
It might be ok for air or nitrox.

Re: More safe with Gradient Factor

Hello, you are mentioning the second value only which is around 90. GF consists of two values. 80 is way to high for the first value. The GF default setting is something like 30/90. Higher values are more "unsafe", lower values are more "safe". Before changing the GF setting make...

Re: Deco gases not used for deco calculation

Hi, did you set a change depth for the deco gases? If the Change depth is set to "0", the deco gases are not included in the deco calculation. Additional note: This statement is true for the OSTC 2 series. If you are using Firmware 1.0 your Computer is an OSTC 3. I don't know if my Stateme...

OSTC 2N > 61 mm diagonal display
OSTC 3 > 51 mm diagonal display

so 2N is better for older divers ;->

Re: HeinrichsWeikamp auf der Boot 2013?

Hi Frank,

usually HeinrichsWeikamp don't sell their products on the "Boot" -fair in Düsseldorf.
They only sell on order and ship their products.
At least this was the case the last couple of years.

Re: CF17 Low ppO2 Warning rationale

Hello, i can tell you from own experience that it is not a good idea to rely on a loop po2 of 0,16. Maybe there's a difference inbetween air and water like in a pressure chamber. You will also become narked at a higher pressure in air compared to water. I really like the limit of 0,19. If you want a...

Re: CCR simulation - PPO2 shows bailout value

Hi Steve, now it is clear. When you switch back to CCR from bailout the last used bailout gas is your new diluent. That is the only way to switch diluent presently. So if you switched to NX50 as bailout gas, switched back to CCR, descended to 31 meters and CF39 is activated your PO2 will be >2 becau...

Hi steve,

is this a question or a statement?
If it is a question have a look at CF 39 ( po2 correction ).

Hi Abyss, for a deep stop try GF 5/80 or 10/80 ( alternativly 5/90 or 10/90 ). The first GF value controls the deeper stops, the second value controls the shallow stops. The smaller the first value the deeper the first stop. The smaller the second value the longer the shallow stops. Make sure to rea...

Hello,

you could use the existing cave bailout function if you know your air consumption and the ambient volume of your cylinder.

Re: CF13 No Fly Time

Hi Manuel, there's nothing wrong with that. The Desat time is the time when there's no significant gasload left in your body tissues after a dive. The No Fly time is less than the Desat time as it is safe to fly with some residual gasload. Adding the Desat time and the No Fly time to a sum is not co...
