Dive mode Display
All, Newbie question here (diving with my new 2n later this week) :-) so please excuse my ignorance.. If you don't mind, is it correct that as per the Custom function CF47:Velocity warning (Color change) the 2n displays an assent alarm somehow if it rises to fast - where is this displayed ? Also the...

Re: Storage - Battery / Dive Log data
Hansjoerg,
Thanks, interesting, there is lots of confliction info on the web about Li-Ion batteries and their best maintenance. Overall they don't seem to like heat, hence the idea or removing Laptop batteries when not in use..
This is also a site packed with info : http://batteryuniversity.com/

Re: Storage - Battery / Dive Log data
Bardass, I just wondered if the 2n was left in storage for 3/4 months and the battery ran flat, whether it would keep all the dive logs, and the battery would be OK being discharged. I would presume it would be fine, and the dive logs etc are kept on some sort of internal 2n storage..but thought it ...

Storage - Battery / Dive Log data
Hi There, When not in use (and after a good clean water soak) I presume it is OK to store my OSTC 2n away, and let the battery discharge. Then charge again before the next dive ? Any idea how long a fully battery will last whilst in storage ? Does the OSTC 2n keep all the dive log data, even when th...

Re: Recreational dive mode
Bruce, from Australia :) Had to be Bruce really ;) Diving in Oz is very nice indeed. I had 2 weeks out there (not long enough) Coral Sea, Osprey Reef, Broughton Island. Fantastic.. Pick up my OSTC next week and will be diving for two weeks in Dahab - Red Sea so I can't wait. I was planning to just u...

OSTC 2n Ascent rate display ?
Hi All, I have looked at the 2n .pdf manual and list of custom functions.. CF05 seems to say it will display the ascent rate if exceeded ? Is there normally an assent rate display as I can't see one.. How is the alert displayed ? I know stated in another post there is no audible alarm.. This link se...

Re: OSTC MK2 now it's the 2N
Guys, Is it really a problem to get a new Li battery replaced every 5-10 years ? I would think by then we wll be using the new OSTC 5n ;) Matthias, >For a longer lifetime we also recharge the battery to 95% only which >dramatically increases the lifetime. That's interesting. What's the thinking behi...
