Hello Robert,
"12-xxx" is one of the latest batch, it's fine.
Yes, there are several projects we're in contact with. As soon as any is ready we'll publish is here. We are also thinking of an alternative right now.
regards,
Matthias

Hello, Check the wiki: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/ostc/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Manual.Interface There is step by step manual. It's essential that the update works, seems that you did not install the driver already. If possible, please try to give more detailed informations about your system/error m...

No, all HUD-related settings are only set by the OSTC (The settings are stored in the board permanently and transferred from the OSTC in the O2 Sensor Setup menu).

Hello,
If you once have installed the O2 board, please post some pictures of you setup. This is always interesting to other users.

Re: O2 Board Questions
Hello, It a bit more complex: When using high efficiency LEDs with additional series resistors it's fine with OSTC powered operation but the start-up delay can be about 20 seconds for the board (Then it's important to activate the OSTC before the dive manually). When using normal LEDs or no extra se...

Re: (stupid question?)just a thought...
Technically, the O2 board can be connected to both versions of the OSTC easily but if you consider the costs for the board, Fischer connector and the O2 cell a dedicated O2 meter is probably cheaper.

No worries about a battery, there is no battery on the O2 board even if some parts look like that.

Re: HELP computer in surface-error after a simulated dive
Hello, After resetting the OSTC (With the interface) it will re-read the calibration from the sensor and you should see fine readings. Can't tell what you did but you can not damage the unit with a simulation. Also try a "reset all" from the interface and/or install the 1.26 beta version. ...

Hello, Thanks for your post! We have tested the bootloader on different VISTA systems (Home and Prof.) and it worked. Maybe the wrong driver was installed? We tried the non-beta 2.04.06 from FTDI and it connected with 19200. The non-customized, original "Tiny bootloader" works fine, too. R...

Hello, I must admit that we underestimated the amount of diver without sufficient correction masks. Next step on our display-to-do-list is a new middle-sized font with more simple, clear figures. I'm afraid the small font will not be changed in the future but we can try to move more important inform...

Re: Effects of cold water to battery?
Hi,
Since we do not draw much current from the battery (only 1/10 of the specified max. current) I do not expect a significant drop of ON-time with a fully charged battery. Make sure the unit is stored in warm conditions (Do not leave it in the car overnight, for example!).

Matthias

It's correct that the NDL time calculation is based on the selected gas only. But as soon as deco is displayed deco gases are included in the calculation, no matter which gas# they have. I have tested this again and again today with different combinations. A new 1.27 will be available soon, with sev...

Hello, That's the No Deco Limit (NDL) and it's starting at 160 because it's programmed to do so. You'll see a NDL time in any other computer doing deco calculations. While the NDL can be higher then 160minutes the OSTC stops calculations for NDL>160minutes (Very shallow waters). Other computers disp...

Re: A lot of questions
I have simulated some dives just yesterday and it worked as it should. Maybe you start with gas1 and set the deco gas to gas2 (That's what I did). Maybe there is still a bug in the decogas routine. I doubt that this is related to a hardware problem.

Re: A lot of questions
If I simulate two different dives, 15min at 65m on 21/0 a) with O2 Deco at 6m b) with Air Deco I clearly see the difference of about 16minutes deco time at the end of the bottom time. Make sure gases are configured as active and change-depths are fine. Disable any other gases. I use "ZH-L16 OC&...
