Re: Blank screen 2c

How much battery did the device have? the only time i have had similar (I'm on an OSTC Plus so not quite the same as this has a much smaller battery) is because the battery had not been used for a while so needed a bit of a recharge to boost this back up again.

Re: Language Setting

I think you'll have to flash new firmware to it, each firmware has its own language

Firmware can be found here
https://heinrichsweikamp.com/index.php/ ... /firmwares

You can update the firmware with Subsurface, the bootloader or maybe the OSTCConf mobile app

Is the ostc4 complicated?
[/quote]
It’s probably more complicated than you need and as a recreational diver it may be complicated and confuse you. What about the OSTC4 appeals to you over something like the Plus?

I’d look at the OSTC Plus, that should meet your needs without being over complicated

Re: OSTC Sport: Dive not registered in logbook (firmware 10.71)

We’ve just come back from a dive trip with 12 dives and ours were all logged correctly, mine using the tech firmware and my girlfriends on the rec firmware. Whatever your issue this seems to be specific to you rather than a global issue. What language firmware are you using? Perhaps there is an issu...

Re: OSTC Sport set up for sidemount

For dive logging software like Subsurface then switching the computer when you switch regs will provide more information and give you more accurate gas consumption graphs in the software. If you are not so interested in the logging then just view these as one large cylinder and it'll save you time a...

Re: OSTC 2 failing at 115m - screen bend in - stuck in dive loop after?

The buttons do degrade over time, I know of a few that over the years have suffered the same thing. I’ve not heard of the screen issue before though.

It may just be reaching the end of its natural lifespan.

This sounds correct. Here is the extract from the manual.

T0 1.5v disposable
T1 3.6v disposable
T2 3.6v chargeable
T3/T4 permanently installed battery

Re: OSTC plus won't power on

Your best bet might be taking the battery out, charging it in a separate battery charger (fully or partially) and then putting it into the computer again to complete the charging cycle. Lots of us have had similar issues this year.

Re: OSTC2N stuck in dove mode...

I believe a solution that’s been suggested in the past is to use an airtight plastic lunchbox and put the computer in it, squeeze out as much air as possible and seal the box then hopefully the reduction in pressure inside as the box flexes back to its original shape will be enough for the computer ...

Did it record the first dive correctly? Just wondering if the first dive ever ended or whether it was only long continuous dive.

Did the computer operate correctly on the second dive?

Re: OSTC 2N - Bluetooth nachrüsten?

I believe this may be possible if using Subsurface on an Android phone/tablet and connecting with a USB On-the-Go cable. I think HW have said previously that there is no retrofit currently available or even planned for the older computers.

I use Subsurface to download dives from my OSTC Plus as well as to adjust the settings like the custom text and sync time, this used to work just fine but when i tried it today it fails, i think this change is functionality came with a firmware update (I think this was ok with 3.07 firmware). Do you have any other computer you can try with? Maybe delete the app, reinstall it and try again.

Does the par stay red or if you leave the computer on the pad does it ever recover to green? I believe if the computer needs a lot of charging the charging pad will occasionally turn red to give the battery a rest during charging, it should recover again and carry on the charging if you leave it.
