Updating CF74

My OSTC 2N has a dead left button so can no longer fully utilise it. I now use as a back up to my OSTC 2. All has been well time I recently corrected the time on it using Subsurface (end of daylight saving). Since then, the battery counter no longer works showing 0% despite fully charging (it is cha...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Not sure if this is related to new firmware, but since I loaded it, my compass has not worked properly. I have recalibrated it a number of times (I have now done about 12 dives since installing) but it has only worked correctly on the first dive after the recalibration.

Coincidence?

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

I did two more dives today and can confirm that the Safety Stop countdown works okay in normal screen but not in the alternate screen. Yes, it does appear that the countdown of two seconds takes two seconds, but it is very annoying to watch that one takes half a second and the next one one and a hal...

Re: Store compass heading longer?

Would be great. It seems to me that even if you take a bearing before you enter the water and the computer does not go to sleep, the bearing is lost.

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Dived today. On the alternate screen (but not sure about main screen), the safety stop countdown went like 14 13, 12 11, 10 9, etc. The gaps between the two numbers was not one second, but between the pairs, it was longer than one second. Only noticed this right near the end of the stop, so did not ...

In the alternative view, the ascent rate graph gets blacked out on right side every few seconds.

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.95beta released

Used it on a 45 m deco dive two days ago. Worked good, but still not clear about the calculated gas part. It showed xx bar which I assume is how much air/O2 I needed to safely complete dive. However, next to the bar it had ---. What does this mean/represent? Deco was exactly what I previously experi...

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.93beta released

I used today on a 46 m dive (with another computer as backup). The gas consumption prediction did not seem to work at all. Any trick to turning it on other than setting tank sizes and pressure?

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.93beta released

When I upgraded all gases disappeared and was set back to almost default. With Subsurface, I cannot upload changed safety stop settings, it shows error.

Upgrade went well, all looks good, although I would have liked ability to set a higher ppO2 for deco. Will test early next week.

This is very strange! I have checked again now and it is not doing it. Everything seems perfect. Perhaps the computer needs to enter the deep sleep mode! Anyway, all okay now.

Just noticed that this also happens on other pages, not only to the top entry. Bottom part of letters like g appear above the letter.

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.15 released

Installed easily using Subsurface. One thing, in the logbook, the dive number on mine is missing tiny bit of the bottom part of the number and it appears at the top above it instead.

Re: OSTC - Subsurface

This is in wrong forum, but try the following:
  • Control D
  • Tick Choose Bluetooth Download Mode
  • Click on the box with the ...
  • Click Scan
  • Select OSTC #xxxx etc
  • Click Save
  • Click Download
This should then work.

Hope this helps.

Check CF74. "CF" means "Custom Function" and can be found in Menu -> Setup -> Custom Functions III. Make sure it's set to "1800", which is 30 hours.

After doing four dives with 3.14, I have now reverted back to 3.13. This is as per my post above where I believe that the ascent signal is far more erratic than before.

Re: New 3.14 beta firmware

I have done two dives with this firmware and it seems to me that the too fast ascent signal is coming on far more than before. At this stage I tend to think I will revert to the previous firmware.

Yes, double click left button and then right button. Alternatively, click left, then left again twice (I think) and then right.
