Re: Help logbook 2.90

The OSTC does not have an infinite memory, it can only store so much info before overwriting the old stuff.

Re: Salinity settings

I leave mine at default. Deco is worked out according to absolute pressure so this will just be a cosmetic change for the displayed depth.

Do you know anyone else with a working computer/OSTC setup you can try with? What software are you trying to download with?

Have you got anything on the OSTC display? You need to wake it up by pressing a button.

Re: MAC problems

Go to this page (http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=145) and then follow the link at the bottom (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm). Look up your OS and CPU type in the table and download the relevant DMG (probably this one http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_1...

Re: Deco time when NO GAS SWITCH

Yes, that's my understanding of the way it works.

@ 19.5m your 6' of EAN50 deco will magically turn into 10' or so (Just guessing on number) on air deco.

Re: Deco time when NO GAS SWITCH

Rich mixes like 80% and pure O2 have the unfortunate feature that their MOD is pretty much at the level of the typical stops required and if you go 1.5m shallower you are probably violating the deco ceiling. If using something like 50% for deco (MOD of 21m) then you'd have to rack up a lot of deco t...

Re: Deco time when NO GAS SWITCH

From what i can see there are sertain scenarios (All these are assuming one deco gas, i have no idea how it'll work with more than one); A, Backgas and deco gas active with switch depth set correctly. B, Backgas and deco gas active with switch depth set to 0m. C, Backgas active but deco gas inactive...

Re: ALTIMETER

I recently bought a second hand unit too. I think it would be wise to perform a full reset to get this back to standard settings before you proceed as you won't be sure of any other settings the user has changed and these could be significant.

Re: Verschiedene Austauchverfahren

GUE do a similar thing.

First stop is 50% of max depth and then 1 min stops at every 3m from there. Again, this is for dives typically referred to as 'no deco' and is based on 32% nitrox.

Re: Verschiedene Austauchverfahren

Re: Surface Interval start...

My first post so excuse me if i'm stepping on anyones toes. One of the benefits of having a delayed switch to surface mode is that if you had a loss of buoyancy on the safety/deco stop or needed to have a look to get your bearings and popped up to the surface for a few seconds before descending agai...
