Re: Surface Interval start...
Based on Matthias's last post, the off-gassing calculations only start when the OSTC goes into SI mode. Therefore, the way it works is exactly correct, the SI as far as the computer is concerned for its calculations only starts after the time-out period.

Re: Surface Interval start...
1 It makes no difference to deco calculations and if you think you must stay out exactly 60 minutes, it is in fact safer as you will be out 64 minutes 2 It will not as I am not that anal to want to have a SI of exactly 60 minutes and I can add 4 minutes to my SI 3 No need, as I said, I can add 4 min...

Re: Surface Interval start...
What is all this argument about? Rich, do you really use the surface interval on the OSTC to work out when you get back in the water for a second dive and must have it so accurate that you cannot wait till it says 60 minutes? If so, just go in at 56 minutes. If you are on a liveaboard, then your int...

Re: Strange value for future TTS
TTS +5 does not include in its calculation the 5 mins from now till then. It is what the OSTC will show in 5 mins time. For example, if you have TTS of 10 mins now and you are accumulating deco of 3 mins for each minute you stay, the TTS +5 will show 25 mins (that is, original 10 mins + 5 x 3 mins)....

Re: Strange value for future TTS
It seems to me that the 51 minutes TTS indicated in the TTS +5 when still at 60 m is about right. From experience, I know that for every minute at 60 m after you hit deco you gain about 5 mins deco. Therefore, at 10 mins current TTS is 23 mins. Therefore, for TTS +5, add another 5 x 5 mins = 25 mins...

Re: Alternate GFs
I just replicated this by changing the Deco Mode from "L-16 GF OC" to "ZH-L-16 OC". What you described happens was then the same on my computer. You need to double check that you have "L16-GF OC" showing top left of the main screen. If not, you then need to change via M...

Re: :S still impossible to download dives from 2.7 octc 2c to jdive log
Thanks Jef, I downloaded the new version (which I did not know had been released), deleted the dives I had already downloaded and it then downloaded all the 8 dives I have now done at Scapa.

Re: :S still impossible to download dives from 2.7 octc 2c to jdive log
I am now diving in Scapa Flow, Scotland. I have tried to download my dives three time using Subsurface. On the first two days I could only download the second dive of the day. The first is visible on the OSTC, but it does not get added to the logbook. I tried creating a new logbook and downloading, ...

Re: :S still impossible to download dives from 2.7 octc 2c to jdive log
With the last couple of betas and 2.70, when I download using Subsurface, sometimes not only the newer dives download, but one more will be imported even though it already exists. All the dives are then recorded as 0 in the number.

Thanks Matthias.

Re: New 2.61beta available for download
I think that the change of the serial number has something to do with it. I found another post on this forum where it was mentioned that after a certain serial number there was the change from Mk2 to 2N and that the screen is inverted in 2N compared to Mk2.

Re: New 2.61beta available for download
Snow happens as well to me but only for a split second. Strange thing is that the computer screen is now upsidedown. I cannot find how to fix this. Any clues? Also, the dive offset went from 3423 to 53 and the battery page shows I have done 17801 dives. It also says the serial number is 255 rather t...

Re: New 2.61beta available for download
Okay, just tried using my netbook rather than my normal laptop. It's ALIVE! Looks like my laptop was having problems deciding what COM port to use. As to the original problem, is it possible that the upgrade can start and almost at the same time the OSTC times out and closes down. I really think thi...

Re: New 2.61beta available for download
Yes there was but I do not recall what it was. It made me think that the OSTC timed out right as the upgrade started. Now it says: Bootloader for HeinrichsWeikamp OSTC, based on TinyBootLoader, v.1.9.5 written by claudiu.chiculita@ugal.ro http://www.etc.ugal.ro/cchiculita/software/picbootloader.htm ...

Re: New 2.61beta available for download
I tried to upgrade to 2.61 last night but ended up with a blank screen and non-responsive OSTC. I think what may have happened was that I started the upgrade and just as it kicked off, the OSTC went to sleep. Nothing I do wakes it up. I have also tried the magnetic reset as described by Matthias els...

Okay, when I looked at this earlier the link took me to 2.61 firmware. Now there is only 2.60. What has happened?
