Re: hw OS Tech 3.07 - loss of dives saved in the logbook

I also notice that Last dive, Divetime, Max. Depth and Average in surface mode is now reset to 0.(My last dive was yesterday). However, my Desat is now 06:00

How can it be possible?

Thanks.

hw OS Tech 3.07 - loss of dives saved in the logbook

Hi,

I have just update from 3.05 to 3.07

It has been updated correctly but when I go into the loogbook, in the main menu, I notice that nothing appears.

How can I recover the dives I had stored in the loogbook in version 3.05?

Thanks.

Hi Ralph,

thanks for the explanation. Fast, clear and concise as usual.

Now I understand it.

Re: Custom Fuction CF16

Hi Matthias, you can see in Custom Functions Description Manual this: "CF16: Estimated distance to decompression stop This value sets the estimated distance to the current decompression in meters. Usually, the stop is done below the shown value. This value increases the forecast of the total de...

Re: Custom Fuction CF16

Thanks Matthias,

we will check that there is no penalty via simulation.

Anyway, could you tell me how how CF16 value increases the forecast of the total decompression time?

Re: Custom Fuction CF16

I will try to explain the subject a little better. For example. She has to make a 3' deco stop at 9 m. If she stays fixed at 9 m and the 3 minutes go on, then the computer will show the next stop of X minutes at 6 m. But if she stays fixed at 8.9 m then the numbers on the screen turn red and, even i...

Custom Fuction CF16

Hi, My dive partner has an OSTC 2C. She says that when It marks a deco stop she has to be right at that depth. Otherwise, it penalizes by increasing the total deco time. For example, if she must stop at 6m and up to 5.9m, the computer gives her an alarm signal and increases deco time. I do not under...

Re: Better diluent - gas change in new firmware

Hi Ralph, thanks for the explanations and for the attempt to bring some reasoning based on deco theory into the discussion.I think it's being very instructive and it makes sense. Imagine a square dive with its maximums established: max. depth, max. bottom time and turn press. This is the pre-dive pl...

Re: Better diluent - gas change in new firmware

Hi Arno, I know it. That's the theory and that's the way it should be. But Helium is not always available. Here we say: "Air to inflate bicycle wheels" ;-) It is clear that we can make the gas change through the menu. It's just seems faster with the gas switch suggestion, especially since ...

Hi Ralph, the link that quotes (this one, in English) was started by me. You told me that topic had already been raised a few days ago in this one. So I will continue writing in this that I think has more information. you said ascending to the first stop has been given priority over switching gas. I...

Better Gas Change

Hi, Today I've made a dive and on the ascent, when I get close to the configured change depth of the gas,my OSTC did not suggests me the appropriate gas. It's strange because it has always worked, but not this time. I have changed by entering the menu. What can be caused this? I do not remember maki...

2nd depth

Hello, I have updated to v3.01 and I have noticed a new set can be chosen. On settings/display settings/more/2nd depth I can choose between max. depth or average. I suppose it refers to what the display in dive mode informs, right next to the current depth. However, the average depth can be shown in...

Dekoberechnung und Gradientenfaktoren

Hello,

I was wondering if it is posible to have the "Dekoberechnung und Gradientenfaktoren" brochure in PDF format and in english versión.

I've seen that at the boot of last week and was delivered for free.

Thanks in advance.

Re: IBCD warning

Hi Ralph, yes, Steve Burton says that since the solubility of N2 is 4.5 times more soluble tan He, N2 percentage should never increase more tan 1/5 the reduction of the He percentage to keep the aiming point for the disolved gases the same. This is a simple rule whe can take in count whe we plan our...

IBCD warning

Hi, as we can read in howOStech, page 35, an isobaric counter diffusion occurs when the N2 content in a tissue increase while the He content decrease. I was wondering until what % increase of N2, with respect to % decrease in He, considers the howOStech to be acceptable and from which the IBCD warni...

Screen off during the dive

Hi, just arrived from a dive and really worried. The facts have been the following: I have started the dive normally. the OSTC works correctly. At 26' we go up to the surface. OSTC keeps on working. 12' later we descend again. when we go start the return I look at the OSTC to see the compass and I f...

Planning tool

Hi, taking into account that the OSTC Planner differs in the calculations made by the OSTC plus and the internal decoplanner from my OSTC plus it's not to planning tool since the operation with only two buttons is very limited, I would like to ask a question. What app do you use or propose as a plan...
