Re: New firmware 2.0 stable is now available
Thanks everyone, I've found the bug and it was in Diving Log, not in the firmware. It was kind of a "Year2K" bug of the firmware checks, because I checked only the minor version and not the major and thus firmware 2.0 seemed to be too "old" for CF2. Thanks Matthias for the idea :...

Re: New firmware 2.0 stable is now available
I got 2 binary dump files and it looks like that Diving Log does not receive the EEPROM2 memory, which contains the custom functions II. As far as I know nothing has changed on the firmware side, so I have to investigate with Matthias the cause of the problem. Maybe the new bootloader v2 has somethi...

Re: New firmware 2.0 stable is now available
Hi everyone I cannot try it myself currently, but everything worked fine with the latest beta firmware and this issue seems to be introduced with v2.0 stable. I will investigate the memory dumps as soon as I get them and will chat with Matthias and we should quickly find out if this is a bug in Divi...

Re: Feature request (Aufstiegsgeschwindigkeit im Logbuch)
Hallo Sascha

Re: Air/Ambient Temperature
The OSTC currently does not have an air temperature recording, but the feedback I got from users was, that I simply should import the max. water temperature as air temperature. I mentioned that this would not be very accurate, but I was told it is better than no value at all

Re: Missing dive in jdivelog
Hi Jan Good to hear you get this dive with Diving Log, so it is probably a JDiveLog issue and not an issue with the OSTC logbook memory. You can export that dive to UDCF to import it into JDiveLog, if you want. The Shearwater desktop application uses a SQLite database, which can be opened with any S...

Re: Missing dive in jdivelog
I would be interested if Diving Log does download this dive? If not, it is likely a OSTC logbook issue, if it does, it is likely a JDiveLog issue. It would help identifying this problem.

Sven

Hello Philippe
The separate OSTC import tool is not needed anymore for Diving Log 5.0, because it is integrated in the program. Just use the OSTC downloader from the download menu.
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: OSTC Mk II PC Simulator
You can use Diving Log or JDiveLog to control the OSTC in simulator mode. You can "dive" existing profiles in the OSTC simulator or quickly push it to any depth. I think this is meant with PC simulator.

Re: Diference in maximun depth -Divinglog software and OSTC
If I remember correctly, we discussed that when the salinity setting was intruduced in the OSTC long time ago. We agreed that the salinity adjustment is made within the OSTC and the corrected depth is stored in the logbook memory, so we don't have to adjust it after downloading. I'm doing no salinit...
