hw OS tech 3.10 - gasplaning

hi guys I think I discovered a little miscalculation in the simulator and I hope only in the simulator (not tested in real dives by now) just by playing around and compairing the runtime of the OSTC with the new subsurface planing. in the planed dive I used a D12 in the gas-settings (24L) - and was ...

Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.09 beta 4 available

hi ralf I was just asking, 'cause I realy write down my dives in a paper-logbook by hand and there is always a place for the surface-temperature before the dive. it's also a "nice-to-have". for me no problem, because my backup-dc gives me that - or my outdoor-watch ;) and I don't want you ...

Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.09 beta 4 available

hi ralf
I think that page is self-explanatory. for me its a "nice-to-have", not only for deco-dives, also for repetetive ndl-dives.
hm....
one thing: the longer time, before my ostc plus gets to stand-by is very nice - but why doesn't it record a surface-temperature?

Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.09 beta 4 available

yesterday I made two real dives with this firmware. worked nice and smooth, desat-time and no-fly are displayed both, the additional page in the logbook is a little bit nerdy but very nice ;)
I found nothing to complain....

ist nur mal so eine idee: schon mal mit einer anderen batterie (am besten eines anderen herstellers) versucht? vielleicht ist ja die stromquelle das störende element - und batterien/akkus haben eigentlich immer magnetfelder, oder?

to be honest - it doesn't bother me, as long the diveprofiles are imported correct and the settings can be changed ;)

ok - just one another thing....

my OSTC plus is recognised in subsurface as OSTC2 . is this a subsurface issue or an HW?

Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.09 beta 4 available

nice - but it counts downwards from the newewst to the oldest - means, that the last dive will allways #1 Yes. And that's the intent behaviour. Newest is #1. Just like in most of other dive computers. Set your actual dive number into the logbook offset and you'll have the internal logbook numbering...

hi guys just in testing the beta4 and the first thing in noticed is that the counting prob in the log still exists. if the offset ist turned to 0 20200326_134306.jpg the log shows 20200326_134348.jpg nice - but it counts downwards from the newewst to the oldest - means, that the last dive will allwa...

Re: hwOS Tech: Version 3.09 beta 3 available

Well, I have the honor to forward a big deal of the thanks to Jef from libdivecomputer, as he owns such a 'troublemaker' OSTC and had to try dozens of debugging code enhanced firmware versions for us before we could pin-point the root of the problem. As part of these efforts, there will be an updat...

and the new beta is not only for use/testing outside the water, but for diving?

No NDL in big layout in 3.09 beta 1

hi guys I installed the beta1 today. the menue seems to me more intuitive and better structured. the only thing I found (tested it outside the water - sorry, was diving yesterday) was that the NDL 20200301_110949.jpg in the bigger layout is gone 20200301_111012.jpg , stops ar shown 20200301_111109.j...

I would agree with the rock bottom calculation. it would also make sense in the simulator.

Euh yes, this is a setting I have set to have last deco-stop at 5m. It's because my buddy is using a Suunto which uses 5m... I wanted to avoid being 2m higher...
ah - I see.
btw - it is not a really good idea to take a suunto for deco-dives - except in gauge-mode
