OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
Upgraded today v.097 -->> 0.99 and there was a new battery installed before the upgrade, and after the upgrade the OSTC now says [Batt: 10%].
I have tried with a another brand new 1.5V Alkaline with the same result.
After a 54 minute dive, it still says [Batt: 10%]
During the dive the screen started to flimmer [Brighness: ECO] changed it to [Brightness: High] after the dive, and after some time it seems to be stable.
So what is wrong?
This was my second dive with the Computer, during the first dive the screen frooze and then went blank (still logged the dive), but when i did change the 3.6v battery the computer was delivered with to a 1.5V Alkaline it started to work again.

And now the screen is dead, but it still works to connect it via the USB port. Have tried a couple of different batteries with the same result.

Hi,
my OSTC 3 was working without any concerns
and just after this firmware update
(0.97 -> 0.99)
I do have the same Battery Alarm issue like Mikael.
Cheers

Hi,
That means the battery voltage of your 3,6V battery dropped below 2,6V, what the current reading?
With the .99, you can also reset the battery display in the reset menu. It will start at 100% but will be adjusted to the correct value quickly.
regards,
Matthias

Re: OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
Hi Matthias,
der Batteriewert war vor dem Update ok (95%)
Auch ein Reset Battery ändert nun nichts,
es wird die 1.7 Volt angezeigt,
beim Reset wurde eine 1.5 V Batterie angegeben,
und es bleibt bei einer
roten 10 % Fehlermeldung.
(wird eventuell nicht mit 1.5 V gerechnet?)
Viele Grüße

Re: OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
My computer is on the way to HW for evaluation.
When i changed battery i told the computer it was an 1.5 volt battery, and still it was the 10% and the reading started at 1.6v...... strange....

PS Hope for a quick Turnaround, i bought the computer beacuse i need it.

Re: OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
"1,5V" batteries may have up to 1,7 when new. So maybe this is an explanation.

Re: OSTC3 - v0.99 Batt: 10%
Well, before the upgrade to 0.99 the batt reading was 100%, and after the upgrade with the same battery (1.5v) is was 10% so that is NOT an explanation, and i also tried another new battery i had at home with the same result, then i bought new ones that also said 10%....

Try again the 0.98 (Attached) so this may be a software issue...
