Verschiedene Austauchverfahren
Hallo
0 = kein computerunterstütztes Austauchverfahren
1 = Austauchverfahren nach PADI (3Min@5m)
2 = Austauchverfrahren nach ISE (siehe oben)
usw.

As far as i understand by now it is done with every NDL (no decompression limit) dive deeper than 18m, and it's called "Minimum Deco". But the Manual says "Sportdives (=NDL), deeper than 18m with EAN32 or Trimix 30/30"...
Anyway interessting is the concept of the deepstopp at 50% of the maximum depth.

Re: Verschiedene Austauchverfahren
GUE do a similar thing.
First stop is 50% of max depth and then 1 min stops at every 3m from there. Again, this is for dives typically referred to as 'no deco' and is based on 32% nitrox.

Re: Verschiedene Austauchverfahren
You can call it "Safety Stop" or "Minimal Deco", both nothing that has any use on a dive computer.
A dive computer is a device that tracks your actual dive profile and computes a decompression schedule based on that (Instead of a pre-calculated runtime). I can't see how "minimal deco" would fit into that.

Matthias

Why isn't or can't be a minimum deco or safety stopp
part of this decompression schedule?

Because we're using genuine Bühlmann ZH-L16 without extra "heinrichs weikamp" additions.

Yes of course. I appreciate that.
But if it comes to the discussion about which deco model is the best, all the VPM guys will tell you that Bühlmann models are from Dinosaur age and not suitable for humans at all... So it's not forbidden to make things safer. And thanks to the CF's we have to opportunity to turn off what we don't want...
Anyway, i'm able to perform a minimum deco using depth and time of the OSTC. I just thought that a feature like this would make your OSTC's more unique on the competitive market...

Re: Verschiedene Austauchverfahren
when i have a look at the end of this site Decomyths (VPM-B v GF v ZHL16B ) i can't understand, why GF (eg. 15/85) is so "Dinosaur age"... it looks nearly the same as VPM-B+2... -D
if you want a "minimum deco" just set it to 100/100 oder 100/120 or more minimum... (:P)
i want (and i have) a computer that tells me when it's ok to leave the water - and i stay longer when i think today i need this - or i leave the water ealyer when i'm so hungry or need a beer :)o

How will your computer know if you're ready to leave the water? The computer can, according to your recent dive profile, calculate some parameters and can give you an advice... At the end it is some kind of guessing if you're ready to leave the water. Following a dive computer or even a deco table is just fullfilling this recommendations - without any additional "safety" margin... All this calculations know nothing about your physical conditions. So it's wise to add some safety margin to _every_ dive.
But at the end it's everyone's own decision.

Hallo,
PS: GUE braucht keinen Computer wie OSTC 2 oder andere, also was nun?
Gruß
Hello,
I was over Easter days in Hemmoor for diving. There, the rumors, the HW compacted further development at OSTC 2. Therefore, our desires will probably not be considered. Multiple a minimum Deco like GUE was desired rather than the safety stops and a new gas list, where you can see whether you use a Travel, Bottom or deco gas.
PS: GUE does not need a computer as OSTC 2 or others, so what?

Teil leistet...
Dir auch ein schönes Weekend!

Hello,
isn't it possible to configure aGF as "minimal deco" and select it when required ( CF 67, 68, 69 )?

@ sailor,
aGF is not the same as minimum deco. You use aGF for example in an emergency case, so you have an more agressive deco. I think it is better to change the safetystop into a minimum deco from GUE.

Ok, then explain minimum deco please.
Is it just another name for safety stop???
Then no need to change anything because it's there already.

if you do technical diving, why dont you adjust your runtable, which is your primary, accordingly.
if you do recreational diving why not consider a computer more suitable.
(must not ultimatly be a recreational computer, e.g. shearwaters tailored down recreational mode on the petrel)
my understanding was (and most likely always will be) that you either have a decompression ceiling or not. this is what the computer ought to show in the first place.
for non-planned ndl dives the taskload for performing the stops manually should be somehow low, even for divers who do not do somehow serious technical dives
