Hi.
I just took a look at some CNS calculations in different software.
A 68m dive i did last week got a final CNS of 49% according to the OSTC3 log data, and (the now fixed) CNS calculations done in subsurface produced a result of 63%.
If i punch in about the same dive in the OSTC3 dive planner it says CNS: 0% -> 5% , which is complete bogus. Btw. The deco profile that the planner emits looks sane.
I'm no pic asm guy but as far as i see it the ostc3 code calls the same cns calc code as done in "real" dive mode. so its somewhere in the planner something is broken.

Re: CNS in dive plan
Can you post the dive plan you're simulating, please?
Bottom time, max. Depth and Gas/Setpoint setup.

Matthias

Re: CNS in dive plan
21min 63m
18/45, 50%, 100%
Ostc deco planner says CNS: 0%->5%
(Firmware 1.30)
GUE decoplanner says: 54%
Subsurface calculates: 46%
I can't say if the real answer is 54%, 46% or something else, but 5% is most definitely bogus.

Re: CNS in dive plan
OSTC3's answer is 48% -> With the new 1.40 we have just uploaded. There was indeed a bug with the CNS in the deco planner (Not in real dives).
Thanks for reporting.
