New 1.41 beta firmware

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hi,

http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=162&version=en has the new 1.41beta for the OSTC3.

NEW: Ceiling display (GF_hi based) in divemode
CHANGE: Show heading with leading zeros

And some smaller bugfixes and changes.

Please give it a try and post some feedback here into this thread.

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

I understand "ceiling" information but I don't understand how to interpret the variation of its value in relation to the display of decompression stop and I don't see a direct correspondence or then a correspndance shifted, that's not clear and in v1.41 current definition, I don't see the point of this info,

Please give us details of the current function "ceiling" v1.41,

I know "ceiling" Suunto info which shows the depth ceiling not to be exceeded during any ascent, May be it would be interesting to have this info on OSTC3,

With the installation of v1.41 I noticed that the date and time had been changed and the inability to update the date (day / month / year) with v1.41,

Is this a bug?

When keeping the "enter" button pressed to change the date, It blocks the display of seconds, which blocks the watch,

Is this a bug or normal in this case?

To change the date I installed again v1.40 and after updating the date, I installed again v1.41, without it this time change the date and time,

Thank you for your answers, Regards,

Cheers ;)

Hi,

It's a beta version (Clearly visible in the menu and start-up), so some errors may be in the code, but:

It's the hard ceiling based on your GF_hi.

Works fine here with 1.41, the clock continues to run and is updated on the screen as soon as you release the ENTER button.

I can not confirm your bug here.

Just some (code-compatible) changes in the production here.

Hi Matthias,

Thank you but, I saw that v1.41 was a "beta" version, it was already clear to me,

I confirm here with v1.41 on my OSTC3, it's impossible to update the date,
And also when I hold the button "Enter" pressed, to try for changed the date, It blocks the display of seconds, which blocks the watch,

Of course, when I release the "Enter" button, the clock continues to run, but the date has not changed!

For your info "hard ceiling", I think it would be better to have the info "real cap" linked directly to "runtime", the ascent rate and actual decompression of the dive during all ascent as is the case on the computers Suunto, it would allow to secure the control of these two parameters (ascent rate, deco stop) to those who will want to select the "ceiling" function,

Or you may have to display both info "hard ceiling" and "real ceiling", but I think this will rather confusing?

The info "real ceiling" alone seems to me best,

best regards,

Cheers ;)
