OSTC3 - Inactive Gases : change depth to "zero" automatical

Post by ClaudeDive »

Hi Matthias,

When we disable a deco gas previously used, the depth of change of the gas doesn't set to "zero" automatically, we are forced to do it manually,

If, as now, the depth of change is maintained:

When we check the screen "OC" gas list and the gas list in surface mode, there is a doubt about the status of the gas (activated or disabled) who still has the previous depth of change displayed

It would be better to have a setting to "Zero" automatic when the gas is disabled, and to have no doubt

Regards,

Cheers ;)

As disabled gases are shown in a different colour - there is no doubt.

Hi Matthias

You have already answered, for the color, this in another Topic: "As disabled gases are shown in a different color" there is no doubt for you "

Sorry , I am colorblind like 8% of the population and like 8% of users OSTC3, it deserves maybe you take this into account, because for us there is a possibility of doubt,

Part of the problem is the vision of colorblind have trouble seeing certain shade of color, and they can't absolutely distinguish the blueish grey for inactive gases, when the white color is selected,

The contrast of blueish - grey with white color scheme selected is too low for a colorblind, there is so a reading doubt for us,

It is easy for you to find a color that enhances readability, such perhaps a blue à little bit more dark, like the blue of buttons "Menu" & "View" that we see perfectly even in bright sunlight,

If you will, you can do it! And I think that the problem will be fixed, in more improved readability for everybody also increases security,

Thank you, to you take this into account to give satisfaction to 8% of colorblind and your customers who expect a favorable response from HW,

You have below as an example, good contrast set by HW on OSTC2N, or if you don't want to make this improvement, give to users OSTC3, the ability to customize the color of some parameters such as inactive gases,

For change depth to "zero" automatical of inactive gases, besides being logical, this provides an additional safety in complementary to the color difference,

Otherwise, why would we display a depth of change for a inactive gases?

Matthias, it would be nice to get an answer to the above message ...

On another topic, you changed the bleu for inactive aGF and it was perfect, nobody has made comments about this change, why not put the same blue for inactive gas? or like OSTC2N?

Et why not reset automatically the depth of the inactive gases, as they are inactive ?

The Christmas lights will perhaps illuminate this topics, from dream to reality anything is possible!

Regards,

Cheers ;)

First answered here: read.php?6,13722,13837#msg-13837

Then, again in October: read.php?6,13892

But once again:
The colors you propose show too little difference in high ambient light (Which is likely on the surface - We have tried this here) and we won't change these.

Please do not post this request again.

Matthias

Sorry, but here too we also do tests on your products and we are several divers and instructors to see even in bright sunlight in the south of France, the contrasts between the blue and white are perfect on this OSTC2N screenshot, unlike the same paramêtres on OSTC3,

So we do not see the same thing on the same screen! This explains my multiple questions and multiple answers we still do not understand,

I will not write more on this subject that the only judges of the screenshot above are the users who hope to continuous improvement of your products,

"Open Source" it means a configurable computer, so give us the opportunity to change this parameter type according to our needs,

Cheers ;)

No. Open Source means we publish the source code of our product: https://bitbucket.org/heinrichsweikamp/osct3_code

End of discussion.
