OSTC Sport - Bluetooth Stick - Positiv/Negativliste - working/not working

Hallo zusammen,

wie der Titel schon sagt soll hier eine Positiv/Negativliste für Bluetooth Sticks entstehen, damit jemand der noch keinen hat sehen kann was er kaufen kann und wo er besser die Finger weglässt.
Bitte hier nur posten was funktioniert und was nicht, keine langen Diskussionen.

this post is for collecting a list of Bluetooth sticks that are working with the OSTCSport and sticks that causes problems.
Please no long discussions, just postings what works and what doesn't work.

The Sport can be added manually, only a n outgoing comport created (COM11 in my case). Companion v1.134 message: Unable to open port.

I had found that the Asus BT-400 works also on Linux Mint

The problem is to establish a working rfcomm connection

It works with the command

sudo rfcomm -i hci0 connect rfcomm0 00:90:25:4B:10:10

00:90:25:4B:10:10 is the MAC Adress of exampel OSTC

You have just to ensure that the connection does not hang up or is disconnected, because the working distance of/to the adapter is very short. Try to repaet the command till you have the right output, otherwise the distance is to far or bad:

Connected /dev/rfcomm0 to 00:90:25:4B:10:10 on channel 1
Press CTRL-C for hangup

if you see

Connected /dev/rfcomm0 to 00:90:25:4B:10:10 on channel 1
Press CTRL-C for hangup
Disconnected

you have to repeat becuase the connection is bad to far or similar.

I think it works altough with more adapters

I tried it with CSR 4.0 and with the Asus BT-400
