Inverse video

Post by gilx »

Hello,

I think that a "reverse video" mode (white background) would be interesting to increase contrast if the luminosity is high.

Your opinion?

I come back from the Maldives and I agree. Not a bad idea :)

Does this really help? The contrast stays the same when inverting the screen...

I was diving in high brightness conditions recently and with the screen brightness set to medium or high it was no problem to read the screen. Eco was, indeed, a bit dark here.

Matthias, we are in agreement. If the screen is set to medium or high it is much more visible on the dive boat. For the rest I think the idea could be good but needs to be tested. I am by no means an expert :). Best regards for your great job. :)

No, with the TFT screen it does not matter.

And is it possible to do a test with high brightness to see the difference?

On the contrary I am convinced that it would be better.
