New 3.11 Firmware

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hello,

Today, we released the 3.11 stable for the OSTC2 Series (2N/Mk.2/2C). It includes some fixes and changes. New is a better battery display based on the on-time since the last full charge.

Updating is very easy if you have 1.90 or later and using Windows.
1. Get new bootloader v2: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=145&version=en
2. Follow the step-by-step instructions: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=117&version=en

This release fixes a critical bug from the 3.10 that chose the wrong diluent in CCR mode! Updating is essential when using the OSTC in CCR mode.

Hallo,

Matthias

Post by bsalentiny »

Dear Matthias,

I wanted to install version 3.11 of the firmware, and my OSTC displays the following message : Resetting unexpected ! Thank you to defer the analysis data below: ebebWf.36 0 1 0 0 32 3 128 0 0 0 128 2

How can I fix this?

Thank you in advance

After the update the buttons feel different. Sometimes when pressing it jumps 2 steps not just one

Press one of the buttons to restart the unit into surface mode. This may have happened during the update, depending from which version you came from.

Hello Matthias,

Thanks for your answer.
I tried to press a button or buttons, but nothing changed and réinitialistion unexpected code remained visible.
Since yesterday, the screen is off and I can not turn it on again.
Steven Galicia asked me to send my OSTC home directly .
Best regards

Too bad, most likely you could have resolved this issue by yourself easily. I can only assume that this was due to a low battery. A reset of the unit and recharge will most likely fix this.

Hallo,
Vielen Dank

Matthias

Can I suggest that the new % battery display be colour coded so that when it is charging it is a colour other than white. At the moment it can be hard to tell if the USB plug is correctly installed.

Thanks

Hi,

A charging battery should be red, a full green and normal color can be defined by CF34.

On mine when % is showing (not the battery symbol) the colour is white no matter what. When the battery symbol is selected, the colours show as you mention.
