I noticed wireless charging on the ostc3 webpage, but nowhere in the manual or forums. Can I confirm it's meant to charge any 3.7V 14500 LiIon battery? Should we be using protected cells only, or does the device have onboard cell protection?
Also, I presume the claimed high capacity 14500 cells are probably very overrated, and should not be trusted?

Re: ostc3 wireless charging
Hi,
The OSTC3 does not support wireless charging. Sorry if this information was on the new homepage by error (My fault).
It supports recharge AA lithium batteries in the firmware (For the battery meter) but both of the links you posted are for FAKE batteries. AA Lithium batteries have 800 to 900mAh max. Not 2300mAh and there are listings for even higher capacity...
regards,
Matthias

Thanks. Looks like KeepPower, EnerPower and Intl-Outdoor would be the best 14500 rechargeable batteries today.
