If the battery on the OSTC2 2017 is completely emptied, the "New Battery" menu is shown when the device is placed on the Qi charger.
Is the battery type "Internal 16650" / Type 4 ?
Is this battery user-replaceable or is it potted in resin ? I'm just curious.
What is the maximum/fully-charged voltage of this battery ? It seems to be around 3.9V.
What is the minimum voltage of the battery (the voltage at which the battery stops supplying power) ?
Thank you

Re: OSTC 2 2017 : Battery
Hi,
It's potted but replaceable (Not user-replaceable) and yes, T4 16650 is the type for the new OSTC2. Full is 4,1V but nominal voltage is 3,7V. So after a few hours of use the battery will stay at 3,7V. Battery percent is based on used charge, not on voltage in all newer OSTC. Battery is is protected by software-independent protection circuity against undervoltage and the battery is disconnected from the computer at ~2,6V.
regards,
Matthias

Bonjour,
j'ai rechargé l'OSTC 2 avec l'induction, la tension est bien de 4.1v
MAIS il indique en rouge: 0% chargé
Comment remédier à cela?

I suspect that once you have recharged the battery you will have to reset the battery status by using the battery reset menu :
Settings -> More... -> More... -> Reset Battery -> New Battery -> Internal 16650
And thank you for the information Matthias.

"T4", 16650 is the right choice yes, but you don't have to set it on every charge. It's _may_ required to be set in rare cases after a firmware update only.
