Updating CF74
Updating CF74
My OSTC 2N has a dead left button so can no longer fully utilise it. I now use as a back up to my OSTC 2. All has been well time I recently corrected the time on it using Subsurface (end of daylight saving). Since then, the battery counter no longer works showing 0% despite fully charging (it is charged as colour changes to green). Despite attempting to change CF74 to 1800, it will not upload this data. This also happens when I use OSTC Config.
Any ideas on how to change it as having the battery warning on all dive is not great.

Re: Updating CF74
Matthias suggested a reboot in this thread:

But i don't know if this will help you as long as you have a non working button...

Re: Updating CF74
You could also do a magnet reboot (No button needed):
- Attach to USB
- toggle the reboot with a magnet near the center screw in the back
That will reset your ON-Time counter and the battery warning should disappear.

Re: Updating CF74
To add: I can also make you a special firmware resetting the CF74 to it's default after installation.

Just tried this, does seem to reboot but no change to the battery symbol, always flashing. Any chance of the special firmware?

Thanks Matthias, now working perfectly (well, not the left button).
