OSTC 2C and Bluetooth dongle possible?

Normally, I download dives from my OSTC 2C via USB to my Mac and sync the logbook via iCloud to my other devices. During my holiday I don‘t want to carry a laptop around and I would like to use an iPad to download the logbook. Well, my iPad has no USB and OSTC 2C has no Bluetooth. But can I use a cheap Bluetooth dongle on the OSTC’s USB cable to pair the iPad with the OSTC? (If I had a dongle, I would try it.)
Or are there any other solutions?

Reason: the OSTC takes the role of an end device, but a dongle wants to be connected to a host device...
