Middle button does not work anymore

Post by chrisrms »

Hello,

because during the dives, the middle screen (in my case it's the overview), as well as the left defined display (in my case it's the temperature) suddenly start to switch automatically display by its own, I changed only the left button sensitivity to -10, the sensitivity of all buttons is 080.

I did not change the sensitivity of the middle button at all!

But now the middel button does not work at all anymore, it's not possible to use it anymore in menus as "enter", I can't change anything because the button does not respond, it can't be actioned.

I even can't go through the sentence to unlock the ostc4 to be able to enter the menus.

Is there any solution which could work to have this button work again?

Many thanks for help.

Best regards

Hello,

One of the last options ( before you send back to HW for repair ) , is to perform am „master reset“. That should be also reset the adjustment of the buttons.
Master reset: During charging - wipe on the left side with a magnet.

Hi,

thanks for suggestion!

I did do that, ostc 4 on the charging pad and charging, I placed a magnet on the screen, display switches off and right after on again, but middle button does still not work!

Did I do all right?

If yes, what can I do next so that the computer works again?

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Best regards

Hi,

The magnet reset in the OSTC 4 does the same as removing the battery and re-inserting it. This will not adjust the buttons.

We're in contact with Christoph already and will take care of this.
