Updating is very easy if you have 1.90 or later and using Windows.
1. Get new bootloader v2: https://hwdiving.com/firmwares/
2. Follow the step-by-step instructions: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4071

Hallo,

1. Neuen bootloader v2 herunterladen: https://hwdiving.com/firmwares/
2. Die einfache Schritt-für-Schritt Anleitung befolgen: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4071

Hi. I tried to update my OSTC 2C today from v3.15 to v3.16 but now the display has frozen with the text "Bootloader Please wait!" and the blue light on the back is flashing. How can I get it working again ?

Hello,

This is a bit tricky, but you can restore it using the ^‘Bootloader v1’ on Windows: viewtopic.php?t=4071

> If firmware version <1.90 is still installed:
> - Download Bootloader v1
> - Select OSTC, Mk.2/2N/2C
> - Click on ‘Update Firmware’
> - Select the HEX file
> - Restart the device via ‘reboot’ and within 5 seconds:
> - Click OK and wait approx. 30 seconds:
>
> Notes:
> 2. If the ‘Reboot OSTC’ menu option is no longer available (e.g. because incorrect firmware has been installed), the reset to start the bootloader can also be performed using a magnet on the back of the OSTC. The magnet and ‘Reboot OSTC’ have exactly the same effect.
> 3. Under no circumstances should you perform a magnet reset during the update (red LED flashing – or ‘Please Wait’ appears)!

Important: Use bootloader v1, not v2.

Matthias

There are no known issues with this 3.16, so update to 3.16 and I'm sure it will work fine with your 2C then.
