allarm at 6m

Post by maxtosca69 »

Ciao a tutti,

In two consecutive dives my computer showed a red alarm (21m - 1') when I was at my last 6m Decostop.
Can someone explain why?

The firmware is the new 1.90

Hi,

as far as i understand, this is the same issue already being dicussed in this Thread: Gasverlust bei V. 1.90
So far, nobody knows what's going wrong there, but nobody from heinrichsweikamp answered yet.

Hello,

I did investigated this, but found nothing yet..
* Can you tell us what are the parameters used (Full gas list, gas switch, etc...) ?
* Did you change active gas during dive (Lost gas menu) ?
* Anything else special ?

Many thanks !

Hi JeanDo, this is the answer I was waiting for.

Max depth: 52-53m
Bottom time: between 24 and 25min
First stop: 27m - 1'
first gas switch: 21m (EAN 50) - 5'
Then 12m -1'; 9m - 3'
second gas switch: 6m (OX) - less than 9' (3' at 6m plus 6' at 3m that I don't respect).

Sorry for my "spaghetti" english! :-)

I suppose you are using GF 30/90. Air as first mix. And CF55 = 5' (gas switch delay).
Correct ?

Just a question about your reply ;) Why don't you set CF29 to 6m, so the OSTC will predict the right TTS from the beginning ?

Thanks !

actually I don't setup CF55 as you have told me (so 0'); I set CF 29 at 3m (maybe for the last time); my GF are 15/80, but the allarm appears only with the new firmware.
Also I don't understand yet how Cf55 works, I mean if i put 5' on the switch gas stop at 21m (which have normally 1' stop) I obtain 6' or it maintain 5'? Boh!

In any case with the last firmware I didn't have those prolems

Hello JeanDo,

Settings: GF 30/85 Last Stop 6m, Gas switch delay 3 min, Gas1 Air, Gas2 21/35, Gas3 17/50, Gas4 50, Gas5 O2

Bug in Simulator: It happens only with Gas switch delay and the 2 deco gases (4 and 5). Change to 50@21 everything is ok, no change to O2@6 in red 21m for 3min and loop. Change to 50@21 everything is ok, change to O2@6 short in red 21m for 3min and then normal deco and count down is ok.

This happens with Air, 21/35 and 17/50 as first gas with the 2 deko gases (4and5)

I don`t now if the bug is also in a real time dive.

Hop this helps. Regards Uwe

It goes from 1 min to 5 min total, no adding.

Hello,

CF55 sets the minimum decostop time at switch depth. Because you spend some time there, it does changes the remaining part of the decoplan (shortening and/or enlarging them).

This spurious stop do appear for a few seconds sometimes during the dive, but only with 3 or more gases. I am currently testing a patch to correct that.

Thanks for the detailed reports.

Actually, I am noticing the similar behaviour with
one gas and OC/GF, too. This bug exists for at least
2 years.

Basically it is triggered when you dive to at least
30-40 meters. Then go slowly up (i.e. reef dive)
and keep yourself within NDL. At some stage you
will get suprising deco stops, which get cleared
after minute or two (or three ;)). The deco stops
are suprising because you expect your NDL to be
at least 10 minutes or more at that time (in other
words you have 10 minutes NDL, then in a second
deco stops and then 10 minutes of NDL again).

I can provide binary data, which contain dive data
on which I experienced above if you wish.

Hi all...

I got the same behaviour today. At 6m, warning for missed deco at 21m. Came on and off a couple of times. Similar depth, time and settings as "maxtosca69".

V1.90
First dive 49,5m BT30min, OC GF:25/85
G5: Tx20/30 (First gas)
G2: O2 100
G3: NX50
Switch to G3 at 21m, G2 at 6m, Last stop 6m

Second dive 46,9m BT25min, OC GF:25/85
G5: Tx20/12 (First gas)
G2: O2 100
G3: NX50
Switch to G3 at 21m, G2 at 6m, Last stop 3m

Hi,

Thanks for reporting. Did you change CF55, as well? We'll have an update for this issue available soon.

Another way!

44m in air
First deco stop at 21 in ean50 for 5 min
15m for 1min in ean50
9m for 1 min in ean50
6m for 10min in ox ... and the red allarm: 21m for 3min!!!

Hallo maxtosca69,

das Problem ist offensichtlich in Bearbeitung.
Schalte einfach CF55 so lange auf 0 und mache den Stop trotzdem 5 min. wenn Du magst.
Die Deko wird richtig berechnet ...

Hi all,

I corrected a typo this weekend, and make 2 test dives: I think I got that bug... Will be on next beta (1.91beta) due soon.

Thanks for all the reports.

Caro Gucky,
