New 2.05beta available for the Mk.2/2N

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hi,

We just uploaded the 2.05beta with a few minor fixes:
- It now displays the numeric speed value even when the graphical is active
- Menu -> Setup -> More has the new option "Brightness". Default value "ECO" compensates the slight increase of power consumption due to the 32MHz mode

Additionally, the Nofly, Desat and Surface-Interval time are adjusted in all modes now (NoFly was paused when the unit was in the Menu mode, for example). That removes differences between the value stored in the logbook and the value shown in the surface screen.

regards,
Matthias

Thanks!
By the way: The 32MHz-Mode doesn't decrease the estimated life-span of the processor? I ruined a PC sometime ago overclocking it... Burned kid is afraid of the fire ;)

No, 40MHz is max. speed, but more speed means more power consumption. Overall consumption increases from about 28mA@3,7V to 35mA@3,7V... With the new ECO mode (Slightly less brightness of the OLED) we're at 30mA making the battery life a few hours better.

Just for my laziness: Is there a way to provide the plain single firmware files separated by language or just provide the Englisch one? Is there really a need to provide every language for every beta release?

As of now the ZIP containing all the different language versions (more to come?) is much larger than the firmware itself....

Still some issues showing the deco ceilings but overall deco very similar to my other unit so this might indeed just be a display issue. Working flawlessly otherwise, thx a lot :-)!
